Atsumu opened his eyes. The fresh scent of newly bloomed cherry blossoms permeated the air. He was in the cherry tree garden, and blossoms were falling abundantly in the garden as if they were raindrops.

Was it Spring? The last time he remembered, it was mid-autumn.

Hinata was dancing inside the cherry tree garden, swirling along the cherry blossoms. Hinata smiled brightly at him, offering his hand, as if he was inviting him to dance.

Atsumu sighed as he took Hinata's hand. Hinata took the lead and danced Atsumu within the cherry trees.

"Shouyou, you should be with Tobio-kun, and not with me."

Hinata looks at him with confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Shouyou, do not play dumb with me anymore. You like Tobio-kun, right?"

Hinata gazed at the horizon, overlooking the palace. "Ah yes, he was my first love."

"Right..."

"But I do not intend to end it with him, Atsumu-san. He is the king. He needs to follow the system, and that system certainly does not include me."

Atsumu blinked. "Wh-what do you mean?"

"I like you, Atsumu-san. I told you already, did I not?"

Atsumu waited for the falling blossom to fall on Hinata's lips.

He waited, and waited, but no blossom fell upon Hinata's blooming lips.

"A-Atsumu-san?"

Tears started to fall from Atsumu's bright eyes. "Sh-Shouyou... Do you really mean that?"

Hinata smiles. "of course!"

Atsumu made no sound. Just simple secret happiness as he squeezed Hinata into a tight hug. Hinata was also left speechless, just big, bright smiles and welcoming Atsumu's loving touch.

The palace was busy. It was the day King Tobio decided to offer Hinata with a wedding proposal. Nishinoya was making rounds here and there, ensuring that the place was perfect for a romantic candlelit dinner.

"Noya-san!"

It was Hinata's voice. Nishinoya almost jumped out of fright. Hinata did came in earlier than anticipated.

"Shouyou!" Nishinoya offers him a high-five. "Perfect timing. King Kageyama is waiting for you with a wedding---"

"about that, I need to ask Kageyama something. Where is he?"

"He is inside, waiting for you."

"Eh? But what is with the sudden joyous occasion? Is there a royal someone who came to visit the kingdom today?"

"No, no, Shouyou. The King prepared this for you."

"For me? Why?"

"From what I have heard, it is an engagement proposal. You know. For a wedding."

Hinata blinks. "Wedding? Kageyama and I? But that cannot be right, Noya-san."

Nishinoya's body tensed. "Why not?"
