Ok, now I may continue-with no distractions hopefully, even though ones like that are very much welcomed.
Runa the Wise jumped out of the way of a sword and slashed it out of the other person's hand. She did not wait to see if they had another, or would attack again, before slashing their hand off and stabbing them through the heart.
She took a quick glance around, and noticed the rest of her small group was doing the same. Nora knew that there would be a group of soldiers near what they traveled all this way for, but had expected there to be a much larger group. Perhaps they underestimated us, she thought. Or they just didn't have enough people to fight.
Runa the Wise and her group took out everyone within sight until there was no more, and then moved further into the building. The building had a lot of twists and turns, which seemed to take an attempt at confusion. And it did work a bit, as it took them a small bit longer to find the riches room. The room had a big double doorway, and when it was opened it revealed a booby trap that was designed to stab the person walking in through the heart, but was positioned too far forward to work on any of them.
Runa walked in a few minutes after the trap was triggered, just to make sure there wasn't anymore-which there wasn't, to Runa's surprise. She had thought there would be a more elaborate defense mechanism in place.
The room was filled with riches, and it seemed like it was enough to pay for the ransom that was previously requested, which Runa was indifferent to. They got the riches either way, maybe even more this time.
And it seems to me that I can hear the lunch bells ringing, I must go and have some so I will continue later.
