Diego's Father (request)

"Diego! Dieeego" Shira yelled out as Tackle's eyes scanned all over for his dad. Diego had wrestled with something that was tracking them and they both fell into a sink hole. Shira and Tackle were worried and afraid. They weren't sure what was it that Diego had wrestled with.

Diego groaned in pain from the rough landing and he lifted his head up, his eyes scanned his surroundings. He noticed there were these small pools and he saw steam coming out of it. Groaning, he stood up sore and he walked to one of the pools cautiously.

He sniffed it. "Hmm. Smells normal" Diego thought as he slowly lowered his paw into the water. "Dad! Watch out! In the shadows!" Tackle's voice came up before Diego made contact with the water. The cub somehow climbed down and ran to his father.

Diego turned around and spotted two glowing blue eyes in the shadows. It stared at Diego. The brown saber snarled at it as Tackle watched.

Diego lunged at it but the creature moved out of the way and Diego missed it. The creature was in front of Tackle. "Tackle! Look out!" Diego shouted out alarmed.

The cub backed away, hissing at the creature but what he didn't know he was backing up to a pool and he backed off an edge and he slipped in. But the creature caught Tackle by the scruff of his fur.

Diego quickly ran over and snarled a warning at the stranger "Let go of my son!" He snarled angrily. But the figure stayed calm and gently placed Tackle back on the ground. "I wouldn't go in those pools. They're boiling hot. They could literally burn your fur off" the figure warned them, revealing to be a male.

Diego slowly calmed down, he actually looked a bit surprised. There was something familiar about this stranger. "Your voice. It's familiar" Diego said as Tackle went behind the stranger. The cub's ears perked at a sound. His head turned around and he spotted Shira coming down.

"It should be. Glad to see you haven't change a bit. Always focused. I see why Soto choosed you to be his second in command" the stranger said and Diego's eyes widen shock. "How do you know Soto? Who are you?" Diego asked, feeling like he should know this person.

The creature was actually still in the shadows. He stepped out of the shadows and Diego's eyes grew big at who he saw it was.

"Father?" He said stunned, his jaw dropping a little. The stranger was a saber, his fur color matched with Diego. He had dark red brown mane on him and some dark red fur under his chin. He had scars all over his body, two on his nose and his right ear was torn up bad. He had these dark blue eyes like the ocean.

Tackle stared at the two surprised and unsure what's happening. Diego was still in shock. "You're alive" Diego finally spoke and his father smiled at him, letting out a chuckle "Guess you can say I'm back from the dead" he joked as he walked up to his frozen son.

He nuzzled Diego and Diego happily nuzzled back, the two purring. It reminded Diego how he would nuzzle  his father everytime he came back from a hunt. The two broke apart as Diego looked at his dad "But how? I thought..." Diego started but then he noticed Shira had showed up and joined Tackle's side and she looked confused too.

"Um dad" Diego started and he walkes over to his family. "This is mate Shira. And this is my son Tackle" Diego introduced them. The old saber's eyes sparkled at hearing this and he smiled warmly "oh ho looks like you were lucky my son. She's quite a beauty" he commented teasingly and Diego shook his head,a little embarrassed.

Tackle approached the old saber curious "Whoa" he whispered and the saber looked at him. He bent down at the cub's height and smiled warmly at him "he's looks just like you Diego when you were his age" he commented looking at his son to his grandson and Tackle smiled and he pawed the saber's nose. "Grandpa" he said happy and it touched the old saber's heart.

Diego looked at his father puzzled "Still I don't get it. How are you alive?" He asked and the old saber stayed quiet and he stood up "I'll explain everything. Follow me. I'll explain at my den" he told them as he walked off and Shira and Tackle looked at Diego "Your dad? How?" Shira asked surprised. Diego had told her what happened to him.

Diego looked at his father unsure "I don't know. But I want answers form him" Diego said serious as the saber family followed him.
