In Collision Course, there was a scene in geotopia where we could see Diego and Shira snuggling and watching crystals. I wish that we could've had a Diego and Shira moment with that one. So I'm gonna make my own.

Diego walked over to a flat rock where it had this beautiful view of the lake and the crystals with this unique yet stunning glow.

But it didn't cheer the saber up much. He sat down on his hind legs, looking down at his paws. His ears were low and he sighed in defeat. Their attempt to save the world from the asteroid had failed. That llama refused to help them and there wasn't much that they can do now on their own. He never thought this would be the one time that they would fail to save themselves or even the world.

"Diego?" His ears perked at a voice he recognized. The brown saber turned his head around and saw the silver saber, Shira, approaching him. He turned his face away from her, feeling some ounce of guilt.

Shira sat down by his side, looking at him with concern. "You good softie?" She asked him. If he's this quiet, then that means something's wrong.

"Shira....I'm sorry" he apologized to her and she stared at him confused. "I know that you were worried about this end of the world thing. And I was the one who kept telling you that everything was going be ok. That we can stop it" he told her, turning to look at her.

"I just thought that after everything we have been through in the past. Humans. Floods. Dinosaurs. Pirates. I thought that this one wouldn't be any different. Guess I had a little too much confidence there" he told her regretfully, looking back down. He had try to assure her that it was going to be ok and that there was no need to worry. But now he realized that he was wrong and that he had lied to her. He had given her a hope that he couldn't fufill for her. He had let his mate down.

"I just thought that...that we can still have a chance to start a family. Even if that never happens, I wouldn't mind as long as I get to spend my life with you" he explained to her as she stared at him worried. Even if she never wanted to have a cub, having her in his last days was enough for him. Just not like this.

His mate smirked at him as she gently nudged his face to get his attention. His green eyes turned to look at her blue ones. "You wanna know something ya big baby?" She asked him and he expected her to give him one of her sarcastic comments.

"I'm glad that I get to spend my last moment with you" she told him softly and he stared at her surprised. She smiled at him warmly before looking down at the water.

"And since might be our last moment together, I guess I might make a confession. Look Diego. The truth is that I do want to start a family with you. To have our own little cub to raise. To play with. One that might get into trouble like you" she explained, the last part she teased him.

Diego smirked at her, raising an eyebrow. "I'm the one who gets into trouble? I'm pretty sure that's your thing kitty" he told her playfully. Normally, she would be annoyed by that name. But she chuckled at him, just glad to have him call her that in this last moment together.

"To be honest, I really hoped that we could have our own kid. A kid that you and I would love. Outta of the two us..." she said and paused, hesitating to admit something.

"...you would make a better parent than me" she told him and he stared at her surprised. Shira was not want to admit defeat. But this time, she was willing to. She felt that compared to him, she wouldn't make a good mother, even if she loved her cub. She had no doubt that her mate would make a better parent.

Diego's face soften at seeing her so sadden. He knew that outta of the two of them, she was the most reluctant to have cubs. But he never knew that this was how she felt. He understood her though. He had the same feeling. He wanted to have a cub but at the same time he feared he wouldn't be a good father.

"Even if we never start a family, I know you would make a good mom" he told her and she looked at him surprised as he smiled at her.

She smiled back at him as she nuzzled under his chin and on his chest lovingly. The brown saber blushed a bit. "I'm glad we get to spend our last moments together" she told him warmly and happyily. Diego smiled at her and gladly returned the nuzzle. Both cats purred, glad to be in eachother's warmth and love, even if it's just one more moment. Shira moved her head onto his shoulder as the two cats watched the beautiful view of geotopia's scenery, enjoying this moment together.
