Chapter Eight

-Kallie-

The door behind me opened with a dull thud. It smacked hard against the brick wall, which made me turn around. My mouth seemed to drop to the floor when I realized who it was.

"There you are!! We've been looking all over for you," A familiar Australian voice says.

At that moment, it felt like time completely stopped. I thought they were all gone, and that they were never coming back. I thought that I would never see them again in my life, or at least for awhile. My mind was full of mixed emotions; I didn't even know what to think. I shakily turn all the way around, putting my phone back down in my pocket. I was in utter shock at the people standing before me.

There they were, all four of them, peeking their heads out into the crisp night air. They all had relieved looks on their faces when looking at me. To my surprise, there was another guy that was behind them that I didn't even recognize.

They actually came. That was enough to make me happier than ever.

"I thought you weren't coming..." I say, my mouth parted halfway open in shock. Ashton had a look of nothing but joy on his face, his eyes lit up like the sun as he looked at me straight in the eyes. Nobody looks at me like that - I mean nobody.

"Why in the world would we do that?" Michael answers, his voice bouncing off the dark alleyway walls. While everything else around us was pitch black, his bright red hair seemed to light up like a light bulb.

"I... have absolutely no idea." I say back, honestly. "I just thought you didn't show up or you forgot or something because I didn't see you at all in the audience."

This time, Luke was the one to speak up. "Yeah, we're really sorry about that, we kind of got caught in a mob, I guess you could say."

Should I be surprised, or...

"But that would've been a pretty stupid move if we didn't show up at all. Have you seen YouTube recently?"

I give him a weird look. What in the world is he talking about?

"Yeah, apparently someone..." Ashton started talking, until he cut himself off. After that, he went into a fit of giggles. Let me tell you, they were a lot more high-pitched then I thought they would be.

"Stop!" He yells loudly as Calum starts to play with the ends of his long hair. "Apparently someone... I swear to god Calum..."

"Stop!" Ashton yells, this time, loud enough for people on the other side of the street to hear. If there were any fans, well, we'd kind of be screwed.

I smile at them and laugh. "Calum, can you let a man speak?!!" Ashton shouts angrily while trying to run away from Calum, him still giggling like a maniac.

"Oh my god guys..." I laugh while watching Calum chase Ashton around the mini group like a pair of five-year-olds. Ashton lands in a spot on the other end, laughing so much that I can see his face burning up. Maybe it's just me?

"Well c'mon, spit it out," I tell Ashton, still laughing at him.

"Apparently someone posted something that has you singing in it... It's blowing up right now." He says seriously as he gains his composure. Calum unlocks his phone and starts scrolling on something. I don't believe a word they are saying.

"What?" I exclaim quietly. I glance at their faces, and all of them have the same exact expression.

"Look." He says after a while, pointing his phone screen at me, letting me look at it. There was a video opened up, and, yes, it was me. Who would post this?
