Chapter one: Attacking a giant

LOCATION: NEW YORK CITY, UNITED STATES
TIME: 15:00 p.m. E.S.T

The sounds of blustering life and traffic filled the streets of New York City  at the peak of rush-hour in the largest city in the United States, A icon in the country. A city with over 10 million people, 10 million American people who are constantly under the protection of the constitution of the United States and the military of the United States 24/7. Although at this time it seemed like a normal day in the blustering city of life, one event will soon turn it on its head.. and it will be remembered in the history books. At the heart of 5th Avenue A mysterious object started to slowly and slowly fade into a solid object with the features of a Roman structure to put it. Once the structure was almost visible to everyone traffic immediately stopped with people all around it looking at the structure with Curiosity and speculation. It looked like something you'd see in a piece of art or museum not in the heart of one of the most popular street in New York City!

Second by second more and more people surrounded the strange structure with some people pulling out their phones recording or taking pictures of the structure posting it to Instagram or Snapchat as all people do these days. After about 15 minutes of the structure materializing in the middle of nowhere NYPD Officers soon arrived on scene after getting numerous calls at 911, Although they were quickly shocked by what they were seeing in front of them. Shortly after the NYPD officers arrived on scene a small echo of what sounded like stomping boots or the sounds of marches could be heard out of the mysterious structure with some people getting even more antsy and suspicious. Although all of that was soon pushed aside once quick flying objects flew out of the structure with sounds of roars echoing throughout the street.. Police were quickly stunned by this trying to grip a grasp on the current situation and trying to find out what the fuck was even going on. All the officers were quickly interrupted by what looks like soldiers from the Roman ages and what looks like in numbers of hundreds stepping out of the structure that was so dark you couldn't even see a few feet in

Everyone quickly froze looking at these soldiers in complete and utter confusion, The situation just got even weirder somehow.. Although once more all the thoughts were interrupted when what seems like a leader on a horse raised a metallic sword into the air or speaking in some sort of.. language? soon after the rest of the 'Roman' soldiers chanted and screamed as the officers slowly took out their weapons only slightly aiming at the 'Roman' soldiers

NYPD OFFICER#1: "L-Listen Im going to need you to-"

The officer was quickly cut off by the 'Roman' soldiers in once more what it seems like in numbers of hundreds rushing anyone they see civilian or officer in incredible speed with their swords raised. All the officers at this point raised their weapons fully engaging with their firearms releasing Multiple 9mm bullets by the second which Ilactually hit a few of the soldiers killing or injuring them but soon enough the officers in their small numbers were quickly overrun but not before a officer radioed to dispatch for immediate assistance with confirmed shots fired. Once the officers were all overrun the 'Roman' soldiers quickly started pushing in further with more numbers coming in by the second with what seems like creatures that were definitely not human coming in as well destroying everything and anything they see. The 'Roman' soldiers in the creatures beside him start of the rampage across 5th Avenue killing and raping all civilians they see no matter the age race or gender. Once dispatch got the radio call they immediately dispatched swat teams all across New York to the area with a signal 100 now in effect

Once the swat teams arrived in the area they were quickly taken a shock but what they were seeing but soon regained their posture and their training soon kicked in. All swat team members got into position behind the multiple stationed bobcat SWAT trucks aiming their A.R. 15's at the multiple enemy hostiles, and in a matter of seconds soon start engaging taking down multiple hostiles in the number of dozens although taking down the small non-human creatures the bigger ones seemed to pose a bigger threat as 223 Remington seemed to not penetrate their seemingly thick skin. Once the SWAT members noticed this and soon noticed that it was only going to be a matter of seconds before they got pushed back by these seemingly giant creatures they decided to back up while still taking down the smaller hostiles still present although one en they killed 1.. 5 would replace them. At this point they would be overrun just as the earlier NYPD officers were not even 20 minutes ago

SWAT OFFICER #3: "Dispatch we have a situation here! Some of these things aren't fucking human and our 15'e can't penetrate some of them we're going to be over in a matter of minutes! We need the fucking army!"

Unknown to dispatch and the swat teams on the ground military bases were alerted of the current situation and national guard members were quickly mobilized along with small marine groups within the city. Dispatch was soon notified of this and quickly relayed it to the SWAT members on the ground giving them a quick breath of fresh air although they were quickly thrown back to fighting for their lives while trying to move civilians away from the combat area. Meanwhile military personnel apart of several companies around New York are being deployed as rapid response teams to the now known combat area which is majority of fifth Avenue. Their official ETA is five minutes from 5th Avenue so for now the SWAT will have to hold off until further notice

POV OF CHRIS STEINFEILD

I walk out of the coffee shop with nothing in hand as apparently they're 'closed until further notice' yeah that's fucking bullshit for me, I can't believe- huh? Are those.. gunshots?

"What in gods name?"

I say to myself in absolute confusion, 'why the hell are there motherfucking gunshots? Is it coming from Fifth Avenue?!' I say to myself in my thoughts as i quickly drop everything I have running full pace towards the gunshots. Some people may call me a moron and maybe I am but gunshots in fifth Avenue?! Yeah that never happens.. As I continue running towards the direction of the gun shots which is the direct path to fifth Avenue the gunshots start to become louder and louder as I see the glare of police LEDs shining off a few windows. As I become even closer I recognize the police unit vehicles as bobcat SWAT vehicles.. 'Jesus fuck is going on?' I was soon interrupted in my thoughts by the sight of what it looks like to be a swat officer from the NYPD being thrown down the entire block by what looks like to be..

"what the hell is that-!"

I say screaming as I witnessed the sight of what looks like to be well certainly not a human individual.. God it's at least 15 feet fucking tall it's a literal monster! I soon started having second thoughts about if I was going to run towards that direction.. but they soon went away as I remember who I was. I was a goddamn United States Marine! I swore to protect the people and the constitution of the United States! But if a person in full SWAT gear was just thrown like a toy.. what chance do I fucking have?
