Chapter three: Governmental response

LOCATION: Washington D.C.
POV - NO ONE

Tonight in DC it is utter confusion among the ranks of government including the president himself, everyone just didn't know how to respond to the reports coming out of New York.. dragons fighting F-22's? Orges and massive monsters fighting main battle tanks? It sounded like something out of a fairytale.. but everyone saw the videos, everyone saw the photos, it was real

Right now the president sits in his chair in the oval office looking at the secretary of defense sternly in the eyes as he Took into account what the secretary just said..

"So.. it's all true? We have our Armed Forces fighting soldiers from Roman times? Is that what you just told Mr. Secretary?"

Before the secretary of defense could speak up in response to the president the Director of the NSA spoke up in response for the secretary

"Yes sir mr president, our forces have directly engaged in combat was an enemy force.. we believe is beyond this planet, it all started when local NYPD officers called in for a distress call.. since then we all know what happened.. sir.."

The president sighed in annoyance at these reports he was currently being given, he genuinely just couldn't believe it.. but everything is here.. The proof is right in front of him

"Mr president May I say the army As set up a perimeter around the object with the Marines providing heavy support in the form of M1A2C main battle tanks, we have F-16's and F-22's patrolling the skies of New York 24/7 just in case an attack like that happens again, our forces around the country have been put to a alert level of DEFCON three just in case an attack like what happened in New York pop up-somewhere else in the country"

The secretary of defense chimed in giving some reassurance to the president that Americas forces were ready to fight at any moment, it just started to hit everyone that America was just attacked..

"I would also like to say our forces stationed worldwide are put on a alert level of DEFCON 4, Mr. President.."

"Good good.. Mr. Secretary.. is it possible we could.. get recon through.. the structure? You said yourself it might be a gate to another world.. if we want to pursue any other action we must know the terrain of our.. enemy.."

The president said to the secretary of defense pitching his own idea

"mr. President we certainly can do that, but we have to remind ourselves we know nothing about this enemy.. but it does seem they are less technologically advanced then us sir, and if I may.."

"Go on.."

"One of our soldiers captured an enemy soldier, he was shot in the leg and collapsed giving us time to capture him.. with your go ahead we can interrogate him and get possible information out of them sir.."

"Hm.. alright Mr. secretary, you have my authorization to interrogate the suspect..Although.. are you sure you'll be able to get them talking?"

"Mr President I am more than sure I am 100% confident"

"Alright.. do what you
Must... Mr. secretary, director, you may leave now"

The secretary and director both gave a respectful nod and turned around leaving the oval office leaving the president alone to his own thoughts..

"What the hell is the press going to think about this.."

TIME SKIP: 2 hours
LOCATION: Classified

The lone imperial soldier slowly starts to awake from his slumber he has been in for the past day, once he was half awake and tried to move he noticed he couldn't, as he fully opened his eyes he saw himself restrained in a grey room with nothing but a weird thin black object attached to the wall which unknown to him was a 'television'

His fight or flight instinct soon kicked in as he started to struggle hoping he'd free himself from the restraints but to no avail, he cursed under his breath as he looked around taking in his Baron surroundings, all of a sudden a weird pitching noise reached the soldiers ears as he groaned but it soon stopped as quickly as it started, he was slightly panting but it would soon be cut off

"Hello."

He was startled by this voice as he looked around and saw no one but himself reflecting off the walls, he started to slowly panic wondering where the hell he was and where that voice was coming from

"No need to panic, you are in a safe environmen-"

"WHO ARE YOU!"

The imperial soldier spat back with venom in his voice clearly enraged by his current situation

"That does not concern you nor does it concern anyone else, what is of concern is who are you"

The mysterious voice said in reply To the imperial soldiers aggressive like question

"Why should I talk to you!"

The imperial soldier said as he spat back although this time with less venom in his voice as it seemed as he was calming down

"Because I am a man of high power in the nation you just attacked, A nation who is angered.. A nation who wants revenge"

The imperial soldier started to slowly get intimidated by this voice that was seemingly coming from nowhere, he saw what he saw.. he knows that this nation holds power.. Power that could potentially defeat the empire.. and to think that the empire angered them.. sent a chill down his spine

"you attacked the United States of America, A nation that could even take on our entire world.. we know you saw our Armed Forces.. we know what you saw.. you might think that's the true potential of power. Yet what you saw is only a sliver of our nations might.. should I give you a little history lesson?"

The imperial soldier at this point was shaking as he didn't know what to say in the situation.. they attacked a nation called the United States of America.. a nation of true raw power..

"I'll take that as a yes then, first off.. let's show you who you messed with"

The black object that the imperial soldier was once unfazed by soon turned on as the imperial soldier turned his head looking in that direction. he didn't know what magic they were using but that didn't matter, he wanted to see what they were talking about.

It soon turned into what looks like a photo of a beach, a very very nice beach with beautiful blue oceans and beautiful trees but his fascination was soon cut off as a big white bright glow engulfed the screen

He was at first confused but when the white glow start to dissipate his eyes widened as he saw an explosion of untold proportions, this nation possesses the power of gods..

"That is what we call a nuclear bomb, it can destroy entire cities in one go.. and we have thousands of them"

Once the imperial soldier heard the voice talk again he starts uncontrollably shaking in fear and dread he thought to himself thinking 'The empire just.. killed itself.. if they possess this much power.. the empire won't even stand a chance.. they have.. thousands of those to..'

"May I remind you that this is just one of hundreds of types of weapons we have, we won't want to waste those weapons on your futile world.. if you simply give us information.."
