As promised, we rested and loved on each other, the next morning I woke up before Kareem. I went and checked on Chance, I moved him into the bed with Kareem. As I laid him in the bed, I came across the paperwork from last night, I picked it up and went to the kitchen to start my tea. I felt a twinge in my belly, I was kinda hoping that they would stay inside until all this blows over but I doubt it. I skimmed over the paperwork getting the details and as I kept reading I kept feeling the twinges coming in waves and for longer periods of time. As the last one hit I went ahead and signed the paperwork and then it happened. My water broke.
"Kareem!" I yelled as the labor pains really started, I got up and held onto the chair until that wave passed. I was making my way to the stairs when Kareem came barreling down the stairs, "What's wrong baby?!" he was short of breath. I laughed a little and said, "Spill on aisle 3, also we need to go to the hospital." I moved passed him to get dressed and get the baby bag. He was sitting there confused until he went into the kitchen. He came back and ran past me making me giggle. In a whirlwind we had gotten ready and were out the door I was calling and texting family that we had a baby on the way. Kareem's parents met us at the hospital to get Chance. After several hours of labor I was blessed with Chloe and Chandler two bundles of joy that looked just like their dad. I was ready to put them back in to start over cause I just know I did not carry these two ungrateful heathens just to look like they no good ass daddy. Kareem was crying like a titty baby, kissing me and saying thank you.
When it was time to go home Kareem had gone to get the car and the nurse knocked, I had just finished getting the babies together. I invited her in and she advised me I had another visitor, which I thought was weird. I stared for a little bit, "I don't have anyone else coming here announced, tell them I have already left." I was not taking any chances with all the mess going on now. She looked at me a surprised.
"They have some nice gifts for the babies and they know you're still here. I'm sure-" I grew irritated with her because she was not respecting my wishes. "Who is "they"?" I covered up my children's faces as I called Kareem. She was explaining that it was a man and a woman.
Kareem picked up on the first ring, "What's wrong baby?" I could hear he was in the car. I started gathering everything that I could from the wheelchair, "There is a man and a woman that is trying to come visit do you know of anyone who would try and visit?"
At this moment the nurse left the room and I was sure she was turning the people away. I heard the car door shut from the phone, "Nobody should be trying to come up there to see you. Whoever it is has some money or connections because there was strict orders not to allow anyone to even know you were there." He was cussing and fussing into the phone when the nurse came back in. Sheepishly she brought in a teddy bear and some flowers. "They left this for you." I was so irritated I asked her to leave it outside. When Kareem made his way to the room he told the nurse to get out.
"That was Victor and a strung-out ass Bernice, we're about to own this hospital in a week. How the fuck did they let those birds know you were here." He was pissed and he got the kids together he was on the phone advising his family of what was going on. Apparently, he had Victor and Bernice cornered, he had parked in the private entrance and was ushering me and the babies to the car with a different nurse. It was a suburban waiting outside for us, I shook my head seeing the new plates on it. Kareem was angrily on his Air pods talking to someone while I got settled in with the babies in the back I was ready to get home and have my babies safe and sound. The nurse stuck the card in my hand saying that it was attached to the bear and wanted me to read it.
"Congrats on your new bundle of joy, can't wait to have mine in my arms. Send my regards to Kareem." I was shaking with anger but I held it in so that we could make it home safely. This was supposed to be a great moment in our life and people were out to get us. I was protecting my children, my home, and my husband at all costs. I was going to handle this my way, but first I will enjoy my time with my children. After that I'm making sure that nigga world crumble.
