When I finally left the house, I had made my way over to my shop that was getting a complete upgrade I had to fire the last contractor due to them not wanting to work with my vision. It was coming together faster than I thought. I needed this to be the last thing on my mind when my twins get here because between them, Chance, and Kareem I don't how I'll even be able to function. I always get overwhelmed thinking about it all because it's a lot to take on, both of us being business owners is tough. When I finished my inspection I got in the car to move along to the restaurant where I was meeting the girls so I could finally eat my weight in french fries.
I was walking inside when I bumped into a gentleman, he caught my arm before I fell and quickly said his apologies. He stood me up straight and took in my appearance. I took a step back to avoid any type of issue.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to bump into you, I wasn't watching where I was going. And thank you for catching me." I wanted to be nice but brief and I moved around him. He put his hand on my arm and stopped me. I took in his looks, a handsome man but he had nothing on my Kareem.
"No, it's my fault I was looking at my phone. Being a business owner and all I stay pretty busy. I believe it was fate telling me to open my eyes. I'm Kendell." He stuck his hand out for me to shake it, I politely shook it and internally rolled my eyes.
"Well again Kendell thank you, and I hope you have a good lunch." This time I pushed past the dude, I was hungry and I had already wasted time on him. When I saw my girls there were looking at him curiously.
Cheyenne was the first to say anything, "Okay bitch still got it, pregnant and all!" She put her hand up for a high five, but I straight faced her.
"Cheyenne, gone on somewhere. I'm here to eat hell not to get killed." She laughed and shook her head. Cheyenne was one of those "I want to know if I still got it, but will never cheat on my man" type of females. She would occasionally accept a number but would immediately put in the trash.
Once we had ordered Monique asked me, "So how is all this excitement for you? Becoming a mother, then finding out your going to be a mother to twins, your business, and your wedding to Kareem?" I side eyed her at that last part of her statement.
"To be honest, I get overwhelmed when I think about it all. I'm having to take care of Chance, while making sure my home is in tact. While doing that I have to make sure that my business is thriving while also keeping Kareem satisfied and since I got pregnant it's gotten worse. Not only are we having sex everyday most times it's multiple times a day. Then turn around he doesn't want me anywhere but in the house and he is all up under me like all the time." I love Kareem, but damn he is becoming clingy as hell. If I'm in a room minding my business here his big headed ass coming in to rub on me and then I get all hot and tingly.
Monique laughed and said, "Sounds like Kris ass, all he wants is for me to lay up with him. Since finding out you pregnant he all of a sudden begging for a baby. Like you're 23 honey, live your life while you can. Tell Kareem to stop bringing Chance around so much." I shook my head at her and noticed how quiet Destiny was.
"Hey Des, you okay over there?" She took a gulp of her mimosa, with shaky hands she put the glass down and took a deep breath.
"Kane cheated on me." Tears started rolling and I reached over and grabbed her hands. I let her cry it out for a few. I piped up and said, "How long have you been keeping this inside?" She wiped her face and looked at me.
"About a week or so ago, I noticed his phone going off and I went through the messages, and I saw where he was telling who ever the female was that he was married and it was a mistake a one night thing. When I confronted him about it, he told me everything and I'm trying my best to move forward but it's hard you know."I got up and hugged her. I haven't ever delt with infidelity so I couldn't offer words of advice.
