Raina Adams looked into her dirtied mirror that lay by her beanbag chair on the floor. She sighed.
"I look too fancy..." she said to herself, tilting her head. She got an idea.
"Since it's the first day of school, I need to make a difference!" she mumbled, getting up from her carpeted floor and quickly moving to the bathroom, that was just down the hall. She grabbed her mothers old red lipstick that had barely been used. If was expired... by a lot. But did Raina care? No. Of course she didn't.

I looked at the mess I had made. My face. Red lipstick had hurried it's way to my teeth, and my eyeshadow had made it's way to my nose, and my mascara had been smudged everywhere.
"God, how am I supposed to fix this?!" I yelled, mad at myself. I had 10 minutes left until my bus came. I had accidentally fallen asleep in the bathroom, which is what I get for waking up at 2:00 A.M.
I slapped myself on the forehead, and grabbed my last makeup wipe. I smeared the wipe all over my face, and it just made it even worse.
"No! This has to be a dream!" I tried to tell myself, but I knew it wasn't.
6 minutes left.
5 minutes left.
4 minutes left.
3 minutes left.
2 minutes left.
"Aaaand... done!" I smiled, looking at my reflection in the mirror. I had managed to fix my makeup, and applied new, not expired makeup on. I was proud of myself.
1 minute left.
"Shit." I whispered, looking down at my rose gold watch. I practically ran down the stairs, in a hurry.
"Honey? You're in such a hurry? Are you late?" my mom, Sarah Adams, asked me, flipping her newspaper up.
"Yes, ma, I'm running late! Less than a minute till my bus comes! See ya tonight!" I replied, scurrying up the driveway.
"Alright!" my mom shouted, through the window.
I waited for my bus. Did I miss it? I wondered.
I checked my watch almost every second.
"I think I missed i-" Just as I began to say that, the bus pulled up, screeching its breaks right before me.
