As Raina walked towards her class, what seemed like millions of people flooded past her, waving, saying hi, and complimenting her. She didn't mind, but it could get annoying at some points, being the 5th most popular girl at her school, and all.

I carried my books tight to my chest as I entered Mrs. Bennett's class. I immediately got chills, the class was as cold as Antartica!
"God, why is it so cold in here?" I quietly murmured, hoping nobody had heard that. I quickly skimmed the classroom to see all the kids. I counted the ones I knew.
1, Mandy Hartman
2, Ezekiel Fisher
3, Hannah Blistgrove
4, Robin Kay
5, Denise Grammen
6, Ashton Berry
7, Sierra Coldver
8, Lacie Weer
9, Simone Atta
10, Valeri London
and.. 11, Miles Gordon.
Just when I thought I had counted them all, I saw the boy! I saw the boy from the hallways sitting peacefully at a desk in the back row, doodling on a lined piece of paper. I walked up to him, curious of his name.
"Hi!" I greeted, kneeling down a bit. It seemed he was in a daydream, or somewhere in lala-land.
"Huh? Oh, hey." the boy replied, his voice alone gave me a mixture of chills, and butterflies! Maybe this day wasn't so bad!
"Are you new? I've never seen ya around! Oh, Raina Adams, pleasure to meet you." I stuck out my hand, just as Julia had to Elsie.
"Thanks! I an new, the names Coleman." he shook my hand, the many golden rings tingled against my palm as his hand released from my grip. I couldn't just NOT fall for this cutie!
"Can I sit here?" I pointed to the empty desk next to him.
"Sure. I don't really know anyone here, so, wanna be friends?" he asked, his deep voice cracking a bit.
"Oh my! Of course! You seem so nice." I replied, smiling. I couldn't help but stare into his crystal blue eyes.
"Great." he smiled back, and I noticed his deep dimples. I got even more butterflies! How could my day turn around so quickly?!
Just as I was enjoying things, the bell rang.
