As we arrived to the school, I felt this urge to puke. I didn't wanna go back here, but I knew I had to. Everyone knows me, how bad could this be? I thought. Terrible. It could be terrible. School shootings are a thing now.
Julia looked beyond excited, her sleek black ponytail bobbing up and down with each movement she made. I was so jealous of her.
"We're here! Cmon! Get out of your lil' daydream, Raina!" Julia exclaimed, tugging the sleeve of my knit sweater.
"I'm coming!" I replied, jumping out of my seat, following closely behind Julia.

As the two entered the school for the first time in 3 months, Raina noticed a boy with long, blonde curls and tan skin pass her.
How the hell did he already get in the school? They don't let people in early. Raina thought, turning around to check out the back of him. He wore a tight blue v-neck shirt paired with black denim jeans that showed off his toned legs.
"Raina, what the hell are you looking at? Cmon, let's go to our lockers and meet up with Elsie." Julia stated, shaking Raina slightly.
"You've been acting off all day today, Raina. I'm worried." Julia said silently as the two walked down the hall. Raina didn't reply, as she tried to think of where she may have saw that boy. He seemed so familiar.

Julia pulled me along the halls with her, we were headed to our new lockers that were apparently next to Elsie Freeman's, the hottest girl at Rivercreek High. She was a year above us, a Junior. She had beautiful long, strawberry blonde waves, and a perfect body. Julia had wanted to make friends with her, hoping it could score her a few extra guys.
"Julia, you're crazy to be trying to befriend Elsie Freeman, out of all people! Have you heard the list of people she has thrown under the bus? It's longer than Williams-" Julia covered my mouth, giving me the look. The look that meant, "shut up, we're near people who could definitely ruin our reputations, and you're talking way too loud." I shut up.We arrived at our lockers, that were placed right next to each others. Elsie's was located just two to the left from Julias.
"Elsie! Hi!" Julia greeted, standing awkwardly next to Elsie, as she applied mascara to her left eye.
"Oh. Uh, hi! Julie, right..?" Elsie asked, quickly putting her mascara away, and turning to face Julia.
"Oh, you're one letter off! It's J-U-L-I-A, Julia!" Julia replied, sticking out her hand for Elsie to shake.
"Oh! I'm so sorry about that. I'm terrible with names." she said, shaking Julia's hand. They both smiled. I just watched them talk until the bell rang.
"See ya, Jules!" I shouted, speed-walking to my first period, History.
God, I hope that boy is in at least ONE of my classes. And I hope Julia doesn't totally dump my ass for Elsie.
