Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said []to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
6 And He said to me, "It[] is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.- Revelation 21:5-6 (NKJV)
Salvation is funny to me. Of all the wonderful things you might have read or studied in the Bible, the most amazing thing that could ever happen to a person, is receiving Jesus as their Lord and personal savior. God has the power to make things new!
The Bible says, "God will make all things new." There is nothing more exciting than having our sins blotted out and giving us the chance of starting life anew. I had a friend who I hang out with a lot. We were in school together. We lived in the same town and not too many streets away from each other.
When we went off to secondary school, a few events happened that changed the life of my friend. He came to me one night and asked me to join him. He told me he found Christ and he cared enough to want me to join him. I never joined him. But two years later, I finally received Christ. I also got to experience the salvation that my friend experienced.
Soon after Jonathan received Christ, he started to preach. It was just wonderful watching him grow in God. Which I did not understand. We did not spend as much time together. I was not offended really. I replaced with him with somebody that walked my walk. And, for the next few years in school, he preached the word of God weekly, as per schedule.
I have seen firsthand, lives around me just turn around because of having received Jesus. Jesus is real and He calls out to every person that wants to have a relationship with Him. Jesus will never force anyone. You have to be willing.
The Bible says, "I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts." The only thing one would have to do, is to choose Jesus. When you choose Jesus, you would have chosen life. Jesus is able to transform us and make us into beings that surprise even us. The first person that gets surprised perhaps, before others even, is the one who finds salvation.
All testimonies are great! A testimony tells you an event that seemed absurd and turns out into something that converts others to vessels of Christ. When you give your salvation testimony, it's a story of great change. Change that you did not instigate, but change that happened through the habitation of the Spirit of God.
And the nations []of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor []into it. - Revelation 21:24 (NKJV)
Only those who are saved can walk in the light of Jesus. You cannot have Jesus without accepting Him. The first step is accepting him as Lord. We need Jesus and the more that we deny His existence, the more we negate salvation. I do not know how my life would have turned out without Jesus. I have ideas though.
There is just so many things I have avoided or things that do not happen to me. This has nothing to do with my spirituality but everything to do with the grace of God. It takes the grace of God to stay as long as you have stayed in God. Whether it's a year or two or three. Only God's grace. Without the grace of God, we are left with our nothingness and emptiness.
But there shall by no means enter it anything []that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. - Revelation 21:27 (NKJV)
When you think about all Jesus has offered to the world, it seems strange that we would deny Him does it not? Yet, we do. Jesus offered His entire being for us to enter Heaven. Sometimes what we study in the word seems a little strange. How could Heaven exist? And Hell? Is it real? Hell is as real as Earth. And until we are saved, hell becomes our final destination.
Wonderful Father, thank you for sending your son to die for us. Thank you for saving us from Hell and redirecting our lives to you. Thank you for reaching out to our dying souls. Thank you for salvation.
