You are God's Creation

I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex!
Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking.
It simply amazes me to think about it!
How thoroughly you know me, Lord! - Psalm 139:14 (TPT)

When I turned 15, I pierced my ears. At the time, I felt like I had done the coolest thing that was ever done by a person. I used to rap a lot and I wanted to look like the rappers I followed. I cut my hair like them. I dressed like them. I followed them so much that I became everything they portrayed in their music videos. I slowly transformed into the image they preached in their music. I wanted to be cool so much that I did everything and anything that made me look complicated.

David knew God personally. He found his identity in God. David could have found identity in money or women. He was a king and had everything that money could buy.  He was wealthy. He had power. There is nothing more comforting than knowing that God loves us. There is nothing more exciting than knowing that God is excited about who we are.

It's important that you know how much God loves you. When you find identity in God, the world will mean nothing to you. You won't feel like you are missing out on life. You won't feel compelled to dress indecently. You won't feel the pressure to initiate sexual relationships that only gratify our desires. There is a place where the believer finds satisfaction in God alone.

We shouldn't balance God with other things. God with money. God with unhealthy relationships. God with power. Some of these things are not bad per se, but when we always want to find external happiness, we will never find satisfaction in God. God should be our only  satisfaction. Whether or not we have money, God remains God in our lives.

"But then I will win her back once again.
I will lead her into the desert
and speak tenderly to her there.
15 I will return her vineyards to her
and transform the Valley of Trouble[] into a gateway of hope.
She will give herself to me there,
as she did long ago when she was young,
when I freed her from her captivity in Egypt. - Hosea 2:14-15 (NLT)

Sometimes we get to places where we think we are so far gone and way past the mark of redemption. We may feel there's too much sin. All hope is gone. You know those times when you feel unwanted and feel there's probably not a single person that could lead you to a life of freedom. You have to hold on a little. There is hope for everyone for us. That is why Jesus came. There is hope now. (see Colossians 1:27)

God can free us from whatever bondage that has enslaved us. He says, "I will win you back once again. If you had a one on one conversation with God, what would you talk about? God will speak tenderly to you. He will comfort you. He will restore you. He will resuscitate your spirit so much that you are back in fellowship with Him. Would you give God a chance? No one can change us. Only God can. God is able to give us what no man could ever give us.

For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. - Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

We are God's masterpiece. God was excited to create you. Now the bible says that, God created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do good things He planned for us long ago. God planned good things for us. When man fell. Do you know that God never panicked? The bible tells He had a plan. What was God's plan? To win us back as we read in Hosea. Now Paul confirms the word of God in Ephesians 2:10.

Every single moment you are thinking of me!

How precious and wonderful to consider
that you cherish me constantly in your every thought!
O God, your desires toward me are more
than the grains of sand on every shore!
When I awake each morning, you're still with me. - psalm 139:17-18

God is always thinking about us. God wants to have a relationship with you because He created you. He wants to have fellowship with His creation. We hail from God. God is the location from which we hail. God is so great and majestic and yet He wants to be found in us. God who created the Heavens and the Earth. God who created the entire universe, wants to be found in us. What is in the heart of God that He should want to reside in us?

Father, we thank you for creating us. We thank you for the loving kindness that you bestow upon us every morning. May you teach us to walk in your light. May you help us to see that you are all that matters.  This we ask in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
