[present day]

today is just like any other day. i wake up at 7:30 am, have my breakfast, and proceed to work at the travel agency.

the coffee right in front of me is strong, just how i like it. i took a sip.

i remember how minhyuk would-

no. i promised myself i'd try. i'd at least try to forget him. even though it's impossible, i'll try.

i have to keep telling myself that it's been two years and a half since he's been gone, i can't keep this up.

*ring ring ring*

eomma calling...

hmm? why is she calling so early?

"oh, eomma? good morning...why'd you call so early?" i asked.

"ah, you see...um could you do me a favor darling?"

she seemed tense. what could be going on?

"okay, what is it eomma?" i took another sip of my coffee.

"could you come by and pick up your siblings, take them to school? i'm...quite busy today."

oh, why all of a sudden?

"oh.." i looked at the clock, 7:45am. i still have time. "...okay sure eomma. i'll be there in 20."

i moved fast and headed to my parents' house. after i graduated university, i made the tough decision to let go of our old apartment. i lived with my parents again, until i saved enough money to buy my own small home.

i knocked three times.

"oh, darling! come inside, it's cold out there." my mom ushered me behind the door.

i took off my boots and coat, excitedly walking in to look for my siblings.

"twins?" i called out.

"noona!"

"noona!"

they came rushing down the stairs with untied shoes.

"you little devils! come back here, we're not finished getting ready!" my sister came chasing after them.

the twins gave me tight hugs as they came near.

i kneeled down to look at them and give them kisses.

"such handsome little boys. you're growing taller everyday. i just saw you last time and it seems like you're bigger." i made a pouty face. they giggled in joy.

i looked up at my sister, she's in university now. how time passes.

she looked exhausted, already in her outfit that looked disheveled.

i smiled at her and took steps forward, fixing her clothes.

"eonnie i missed you." she whispered as i hugged her.

"but you just saw me last week!" i said as i pulled away, smiling.

"it's getting harder to keep up with these kids without your help in the mornings. it's absolutely exhausting."
