The last place Luke took me to
end our spontaneous day was a cabin.
Turns out it was only minutes away
from my lake. He said his grandparents
owned it, but when they passed the
ownership went to him, which he found
amazing. We spent the night cuddled
together close, sharing tender kisses
while talking about everything
we felt sufficient in the late night, and
listening to the others heartbeat when
conversation came to a comfortable
halt. It was peaceful, calming, I never
wanted those moments to end, those
precious moments with Luke where we
learned more about each other than I
ever thought we would in the time
expanse that we've known each other.
"I think ... I think I love you, Luke," I
murmured to him, moments before I
fell asleep with his arms wrapped
around me.
