A/N Sorry if you don't like swearing. I won't do it lot's but I just felt it fit in here:)

Jake - It was your daughters first gymnastics competition today and Jake told her he'd be there to see how good she is. You were working that day so had planned that you would drop her off for her warm-up/practice session, then Jake would go to watch her at the actual competition. Jake's mum had told Jake that he had to babysit Sydney today too, but she was happy enough coming to Katie's competition.
You knew it started about 15minutes ago so you decided to call Jake to see how she's doing.
J 'Hey, you alright?'
Y 'Yea. Just wondering how Katie's getting on?'
J 'It's not time for me to pick her up yet is it?'
Y 'Jake. You can't be serious?'
J 'Was her competition today?'
Y 'It's now Jake. It's happening now'
J 'Shit. Look I'll call you back when we get there alright love.'
Y 'Jake just hurry. Please, and don't forget to take Sydney with you.'
J 'Alright. Bye'
After the competition had finished Jake had called you telling you Katie refused to go home with Jake meaning you had to convince her through the phone to go home.
When you got home Katie was asleep on the couch with Sydney watching TV so you went through to see Jake in the kitchen.
Y 'Everything ok?'
J 'She refuses to talk to me. I feel so stupid.'
Y 'Well you should' you joke getting a small chuckle out of Jake.
Y 'She'll forgive you Jake. She's a daddy's girl anyways.'

Chris - Today was your sons school charity match. Chris and you had came along to support him. At half time your son came over to walk round the stalls that were there with you and Chris. Chris' phone started ringing. It was his manager saying he needed to go to the studio asap. When Chris was about to leave your son stopped him.
D 'Dad. You promised you'd be here.'
C 'Look, son. I'm sorry, but I need to leave. This is important.'
D 'And I'm not?'
C 'That's not what I meant Darren. You know your the most important.'
D 'Then why can't you tell them you can't go.'
Chris looks at you for help, but you stay silent slightly shaking your head.
C 'When I get back tonight. I'll take us all out for a treat. Your choice.'
D 'Just go dad!' your son says walking back over to the pitch and his friends.
C 'I'm sorry Y/N'
Y 'I know you are Chris'
