The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was light. It overwhelmed his sight at first, until it adjusted. He then just saw the ceiling of Alyssa's old room.

Everything felt different. He scanned the ceiling and noticed he could see the smallest details. The paint was beginning to crack in the top left corner. There was also a baby spider wandering around by itself.

How could he see all this detail? Rowan did not feel the same. Something, everything, was different. He felt...fresh.

He began to notice his sensations. He realized he was lying down, on what felt like stone. His body felt...still. His lungs were still, realizing he was not breathing. Rowan did not feel the need to breathe. In fact, he was quite comfortable.

Taking things very slow, Rowan sat up. He looked down and saw he was wearing an all black suit. He could even see the details of the fabric, noticing where the pants were perfectly pressed. Now studying what he was lying on, he realized it was a stone bed, the kind that looked exactly like the one Morgan uses to rest.

Morgan...

He could feel a presence surrounding him, but one was focused on his left. He whirled around to it, first noticing a silhouette against the window, but he already knew who it was.

The image of Morgan came to his eyes once they adjusted to the sunlight. She stood there, staring at him, as if she had just been startled. She gently held out her hand, still with the startled look on her face.

It was as if his body went on auto pilot. Rowan felt himself slide off the stone bed and walk towards her, extending his hand to touch hers. They held hands for a moment, staring at each other. No words were said at first, until a familiar voice was heard behind him.

"Son of a bitch," he heard Elijah say, "You fucking did it Morgan,"

"Elijah, hush." He heard Skylar's voice say.

Rowan didn't even turn around to look at them. He just continued staring into Morgan's eyes.

She raised a hand and placed it on the side of his face that was originally burned.

"Hi..." she said.

The sound of her voice made Rowan figure everything out at that point. Why he felt so fresh. Because he was in a fresh body.

"You turned me..." he whispered.

Morgan's eyes began to well up with tears. "Yes..." she whispered back.

Rowan finally smiled back at her, placing his hand on the back of her head.

"Hi..." he finally responded, leaning in to kiss her. It felt so incredible to touch her lips again.

He pulled away after about 4 seconds. "Alyssa says she's okay."

That was the breaking point for Morgan's tears. She began crying, then embraced him.

"I'm so sorry, I had to. I felt I had to,"

"Shhh," said Rowan as he comforted her. "Don't be sorry."

He continued to hold her, "I saw my mom. She said I had to come back. I think this was meant to be."

Morgan pulled away from him, looking surprised, but also a little relieved.

"I'll tell you more later," he said, "But for now....can I see myself?"

Morgan wiped her eyes and nodded, taking his hand to lead him. When they turned around the whole Allen family was there. Rowan smiled at them.
