September 9th - Saturday
'You know..Paris is the only city in the world where starving to death is still considered an art. Paris is so dangerously beautiful.'Jungkook and Taehyung were currently on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, both enjoying the amazing view of the city. Jungkook was not all to fond of heights so he kept a comfortable distance between himself and the railing. Taehyung on the other hand loved the rush of being on high buildings, it always felt so free. So instead of keeping distance, he was now leaning against the railing, much to Jungkook's dismay.
It was Saturday, the boys met a couple of hours ago and clicked right away. They didn't seem like stranger at all. They called eachother every evening in the the past week. So when the elder said he wanted to play tourist in his own city, the ravenhead plannend a little tour for the two of them. Hence why they were standing on the Eiffel Tower at the moment.
'I love your way with words, it's interesting.' The elder remarked. 'I guess you're a pretty smart guy, which university do you go to here?' Taehyung said while shuffling closer to the edge of the building, to get a better view of the city.
Jungkook was now torn between lying and being safe or speaking the truth and probably getting hurt. He chose the easy option. He wasn't ready for this guy to know him that personally. Jungkook dropped out of high school to work for his parents. He knew he would have never gotten in to an university without a degree or money. It was the sad reality of his life.
'I go to the university for poetry on the other side of the city.'
'Yeah, I kinda guessed that already. I can see you fit in there just perfect.' Taehyung said.
This only made the younger sadder, he would love to go to university and study literature or poetry, but life just loved to make it hard for him. Luckily he got quite good at hiding his emotions so he put up the brightest, fakest, smile for Taehyung while thanking him.
'So why are you in this enchanting city, my friend?' Jungkook asked with quite a flirty undertone in his voice.
'Came here for the photography university in the centrum of Paris, I just had my first week.' Taehyung answered.
'And how was it?'
'It was great, I finally feel like I belong somewhere you know.. with people that understand you and have the same burning passion as you. But you probably feel the same.'
'Yeah... I guess we are all kinda art nerds who now finally are finding people we can resonate with, right?' Jungkook said.
'Yeah, I guess.. Hey Kook how old are you? You never told me, I always assumed you would be the same age, you know?' Taehyung started.
'I'm 17, so you could say I'm a really young student. I've always been the youngest, but I guess that's an advantage.' The younger stated.
'Why?'
'Where I lived in South Korea people expect so much less from you when they hear you're younger. But I'd like to surprise them. I believe wisdom does not come with age, it comes with experience and a clean mind.' Jungkook said.
'But the people who are older automatically have more experience right?' The elder retorted.
'I don't think so, there are so many stupid older people in this world. It's all about how someone uses his wisdom. And some people, even with a lot of experience and years, use that wisdom for bad things, dumb things even. Not everyone ofcourse, but you get what I mean, right?'
'I know I've said it before, but you're really smart.' Taehyung said. He was kinda jealous of Jungkook, the boy always seemed to find the perfect words.
'Stop complimenting me', Jungkook said while playfully hitting the redhead on his shoulder. He continued, 'how old are you then?'
'I'm 18, so that makes me your hyung!' Taehyung happily said to Jungkook.
'So that why you were defending the older people just yet!' This remark made Taehyung laugh. 'Besides we aren't in South Korea so I'm not planning on treating you any different because you're older.' Jungkook continued.
'Hahah kook, that's fine. I didn't see you as the guy to say hyung to me anyway.' Taehyung retorted.
Jungkook then looked on his watch, 'Oh shit Tae! It's already 8 pm. I was supposed to be home at 6.30 pm.' He said.
'Oh really? I'm sorry, I guess we lost track of time.' Taehyung said. He felt guilty because now Jungkook was going to get in trouble with the supervisors of his dorm.
The only thing the elder didn't know was that Jungkook was suppose to cook for Namjoon, as he came home at 7.30 pm. He had to get home early because of helping his caregiver, not because of the non excited dormrules.
'I'll walk you home, okey?' Taehyung said.
'No it's fine really, and besides I don't want you walking alone over street when it's dark.' Jungkook had to come up with a lie. Taehyung couldn't know where he was staying. He didn't want the elder to pity him.
As soon as he spoke those words, he saw the disappointment in Taehyung's eyes.
'Hey tae, I really loved it today with you, maybe we can do it again next Saturday?' This made the elder look up to him again with the biggest boxy smile.
'Yes I would like that Kook!'
After that they went their separate ways. The elder made his way to the busy centrum of Paris, while the younger had a long trip ahead to the sub-urbs of the city.
He had at least an hour walking to do, but meeting up with Taehyung was all worth it.
