After the day Jungkook came crying to Taehyung they went on little dates every Tuesday and saturday.
They found comfort in each other.
Taehyung knew something was bothering the younger, but everytime he would ask something about that day, Jungkook would never awnser.
Taehyung had his suspicions about Jungkook being suicidal but he never pushed the younger into saying anything. Trust was key.
And Taehyung was right, Jungkook's depression was still there, although it was getting less and less by the day. The sole reason for that being Taehyung. The older healed Jungkook with his presence, his dumb jokes and his fascination for Jungkook's words.
The ravenhead felt wanted, he felt like he had a purpose.
He didn't want to lose Taehyung by freaking him out with the whole depression and sad past story. He wanted to keep this innocent relationship with te elder.
Everytime they would go on a date together they would visit the Eifeltower, it became like their litte hiding spot from the world. They both felt free when they were so high and could look over the whole of Paris. It was refreshing.
October 20th - Saturday
'Do you even just think about jumping?'
This caught the other male off guard. 'No of course not, why would you say such a thing?'
'I don't know, maybe it would feel elaborating. You jump and feel the most free you'll ever be.' the ravenhaid answered.
'Yeah.. and then a couple of second later you lay dead on the ground. Don't think I would be in to that to be honest.' Taehyung said.
After they got their hot chocolate as usual, they looked over the city in peaceful silence.
'Kook?'
'Yes?'
'Are you okay?'
'Tae', Jungkook turned around now looking Taehyung directly in the eyes, 'I'm fine, stop worrying about me.'
Taehyung knew there was something bad going on in the ravenheads mind, but pushing the truth out of him didn't seem to be the right thing to do. Taehyung knew Jungkook didn't want to be vulnerable and the redhead was right. Jungkook didn't want to show his weak side, although he already ruined his tough image the day he came crying to Taehyung. He did not want to let Taehyung in more. He was scared.
Even tough Taehyung first decided to not ask further about Jungkook's condition, he to was afraid that the ravenhead would to stupid things without thinking.
'Kook.. can you be honest with me for once, I know you're not okay?'
'Tae, I really don't want to talk about it right now and you should respect that.' Jungkook answered back a bit irritated.
'You really don't trust me, do you?'
'I do, I swear I do!' Jungkook whisper-yelled back at him.
Jungkook had enough, it has always been the hardest thing for him to open up to people. Of course Taehyung was not just anybody, he needed to open up at some point.
'Then talk to me!' Taehyung yelled back
'Tae..', Jungkook sighed but continued anyways, 'I'm afraid to be vulnerable, and I'm afraid you will see I'm afraid to be vulnerable.'
Taehyung decided it was best to not say anything and let the younger speak. The redhead knew Jungkook was a complicated person because of the way he put his thoughts in to words, and his words always felt like true poetry.
Jungkook continued, 'I'm an extremely vulnerable entity. In fact, most days when I wake up, I feel like the most vulnerable creature ever to grace the planet.
But that doesn't mean I want to let you know that.'
Taehyung made the younger sit next to him on the bench, hoping to make it more comfortable for him.
There was a short silence between the two males before Jungkook continued his words.
'Isn't that the way it usually goes? The more deeply sensitive you are, the further the knife cuts when pain is inflicted upon you, so you take great measures to ensure your walls are extra high?' He said.
'You don't have to build any walls when you are with me.'
'That's the problem, they've been built a long time ago. They're not going to break that easily. They feel fundamental to breathe, without them I feel like I might suffocate.'
'Well then let's not directly break those walls.' Taehyung said.
'What?'
'Lets slowly take them apart, brick by brick. So when they finally break, you haven't even noticed a change. Let's do that together Kook.'
'I'm just afraid that I'll get hurt again..'
'Me too...' Taehyung answered.
Silence.
'What happened to you to built those high walls?', the redhead asked.
'I don't think I'm ready to tell you.'
'That's fine Kook, really. Brick by brick remember, we'll go slow.' Taehyung retorted whilst giving Jungkook's hand a little squeeze.
After that they remained silent. Just enjoying each other's company. Jungkook felt a ease. He felt somewhat free. Being on top of the Tower together with his favourite person, would never disappoint. Here he felt as himself, no one would judge him here. He felt safe with Taehyung.
'You know..', Jungkook started, 'We all have that one scar that cuts so deep; we never want feel that pain again.'
Taehyung nodded his head as a sign for the ravenhaid to continue.
'We all have experienced the trauma of opening up to someone who royally f*cked us over. We have all put our trust in someone who took it and recklessly ran with it.' Jungkook said while tearing up.
'Kook you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to.' The younger retorted back.
'My parents.. Taehyung they really f*cked me and my brothers up. They.. I.. they were the one who built these walls and they sure had a damn fun time making it them high!' Jungkook yelled in frustration.
That was enough for Taehyung to engulf Jungkook in a big long lasting hug, he let the younger cry on his shoulder. He discarded all the random stares he got from the tourists around them.
'Kook, we should go home.. okay?'
