Part 22 - Notre Dame

October 30th - Tuesday
'So you're telling me, your best friend is my brother's boyfriend?!' Jungkook said in disbelief.

They were currently laying down next to each other in a park right in front of the Notre Dame. Jungkook had planned a picnic for the both of them, as it would be one of the last warm days of the year. Also the idea of a picnic as a first official date sounded very cute in Jungkook's ears, so he prepared all kinds of fruits and snacks for Taehyung.

'Yes! I don't even know how that's possible.' The elder retorted while throwing his hands up in the air.

'To me it sounds really made up, do you know that we're for sure talking about the same people?' Jungkook asked again.

'Yes my best friend, Jimin is dating your brother, Yoongi. We're so dumb that we didn't figure it out sooner.' Taehyung said while laughing.

'How did you find out?'

'I called with Jimin last night and he asked me if I already had something going on in my love life and of course I said that I had gotten a lovely boyfriend.' Taehyung said before smiling at the younger. He continued, 'So I told your name and he was like oh that's the same name as Yoongi's brother. And from there the puzzle pieces kinda came together.'

'That means that at one point in life we would've met anyways.' Taehyung added to his story.

'Coincidence doesn't exist, we were meant to meet.' Jungkook said while putting Taehyung's hair behind his ear.

'That's again so cheesy.' Taehyung said whilst chuckling. The younger found the redhead's laugh so extremely perfect.

'You should smile more often, it looks good on you.' Jungkook said after he put his arm around the back of Taehyung's neck, so the elder could use his arm as a pillow.

'Same goes for you.' Taehyung retorted. After that they laid in each other's embrace. Taehyung also had lit a cigarette which he was now smoking. The younger obviously didn't like this but he should respect the elder's decisions, for now at least.

'What's something you've always wanted to try?' Jungkook asked the elder while leaning on his elbows to raise himself to Taehyung's level.

'I have two things actually.' Taehyung said before he took another puff from his cigarette, slowly letting the smoke invade his lungs.

'Tell me.' Jungkook said while laying down on the ground again and also wrapping Taehyung's arm around his own waist.

'So the first one is kinda an easy one, but I really want to watch a starry night some time and have a good conversation with that someone I would be with. Just about the universe and stuff, that has always been a dream of me.' Taehyung started.

'That can be arranged.' Jungkook said while adding a little wink. This made the elder laugh, but that smile disappeared when he started talking again. 'The second one is kind of hard though, as I already tried it multiple times but always failed.'

'What is it?' Jungkook asked.

'Smoking.. I really want to stop smoking permanently.' Taehyung retorted with a sad smile. It was his life goal to stop smoking, he didn't want to be like his dad forever. Although smoking gave him comfort, he should stop seeking comfort in his father's old activities. It wouldn't bring him back anyway. He should start seeking comfort in other ways. Ways like his boyfriend.

'Well you're not doing a very good job at it.' Jungkook truthfully said. This made the elder frown.

'What? You're literally smoking a cigarette right now. You should at least try.' The younger retorted while grabbing Taehyung's lefthand and intertwining their fingers.
