I wake up next to Mike. We're still in the fort. "Mike!!! Phone!!" Mrs. Wheeler yelled. I picked up the phone since mike was still asleep. "Hello?" "Alissa? What are you doing at Mike's?" It was el. "Hopper made me stay here. He said me and mike have to learn to get along." I heard Mike wake up. "El, I'll get the phone to Mike." I hand I to him. Hes talking to her and then he lies telling her his nana was sick and Hopper has me spending the day with Mike. At least the part about Hopper was true. He hangs up. "Why'd you lie to El?" I ask. He grabs my shoulders. "You know why. Hopper went bad s*** Crazy on me about it." I nodded. "Are you gonna invite the boys over? I can sneak out the Back. Or ya know, figure something else out. I know we were forced to hang out with me, so....yeah..." I turn to walk out the Back but he grabs my wrist which sends that feeling up my arm again. "I thought I hated you, but I like hanging out with you
You're pretty fun" that made me smile. "Still, you probably want to hang out with your friends." I say and pull my wrist away so that feeling goes away. I walk to the basement door that leads outside. I grab the handle and open it. "Whatever. I thought we were actually getting along" Mike says. He starts to walk up to me. "So did I." I say. I run out the door and close it behind me. I walk to Max's. I knock on the door. Max opens it with El behind her. Crap. "I thought hop was forcing you to spend the day with Mike. Thats what Mike said." Max's eyes widen. "You were with Mike? He lied to El." I nod. "I know. I told him it was wrong. He didn't listen." "We're going to the mall. Wanna come?" Max asks. I nod. "Can we take the bus? Your bike is only for 2 and mine is broken." She nods.
When we get to the mall, we run to the middle. "Where to first?" I ask. We run to The Gap. El starts looking at clothes. She stops in front of a blue poncho looking thing. (😂) I look at her. "You like that?" Max asks. "How do I know what i like?" El asks. "You just try things on until you find something that feels like you. Not Hopper. Not Mike. You." She tries on the outfit. We all laugh. She tries on a few more and wears a really cute outfit out.
We go to more shops and just have a fun girls day. We get ice cream on the way out. I get mint chocolate chip. Max gets strawberry. And El gets vanilla with sprinkles and extra whipped cream. Max and el switch. We hear Mike and the boys. We look over and see Mike, Lucas, and Will. We all walk up. "Well well well, what a nice surprise." Mike drops his bike when he sees el. "What are you doing here. You aren't supposed to be here." He says. I roll my eyes. "Hey dumb***! She's my sister and you aren't in control over her! She can do what she likes!!" I snap at him. "Shopping." El says. "Yeah, this is her new style." Max says. "You said your nana was sick." El says. "Yeah Mike, what happened to your nana? Oh wait. Nothing. You lied to El." "We were shopping for her! She's so sick so we came to get her a gift. And something for you El. But I only have like 3.50$ so its like really hard." He says ignoring my comment. So walks closer to him. "You lie. Why do you lie? I dump your a**." She says. All of our eyes widen as Max And El walk away. "Well done Wheeler. She broke up with you. You want a gift? Here." I say and push my ice cream cone on top of his head and get on the bus with Max and el. We all laugh and high five.
Mike POV
Well, s***! I've been broken up with and now I have, mint chocolate chip in my hair!! What now?!
Alissa POV
Max is dancing around mine and els room. El is looking at a picture. And for some reason im thinking about Mike. He's cute and funny. And when hes angry its really adorable. He has such a great personality. I like him soooo much. Wait, I like him?! Crap!! I sit up quickly. "Don't worry, he'll be crawling back asking for forgiveness." I hear Max say. They look at my shocked face. "What is it?" El asks. "I....I...." Max makes a hand geature for me to spit it out. "I....I think I like Mike....." El's expression changed from questioning to angry. "No." She say. I start crying. "I'm sorry." I say between tears. I think about going to Will's. I open my eyes and I'm in rhe Wheeler basement. Mike is laying on the couch eating chips, lucas is talking to him, and Will is setting up a DnD campaign. They look at me. "How the h*** did I get here?! I was just in mine and els room!!" I say. I feel something weird under my nose. I wipe it and its blood. "Why the f*** do I have a nosebleed?!" I start hyperventilating. I close my eyes. I just want to go back to my house. I open them and I'm back in our room. I have another nosebleed and the girls aren't paying attention to me. I wipe the blood away and lay in bed. I fall asleep soon.
