~Flashback: four years ago~

A fourteen years old Ruqaiyah went to her somehow grandfather. Adeel saw her coming towards him, wheeling herself.

Her being persistent to help herself, to help herself walk, made Adeel proud, proud by making a good choice in choosing her.

He wasn't biologically her grandfather, he just felt like he was, even Anwar, her father said so. To him, the Ubayd family were his and Anwar's children were his grand-children, they were his either by blood and flesh or not.

Their family were quite welcoming. They treated him with food, drinks and love. He even took permission from their grandparents to add them (Anwar and his family) to his family with them (grandparents) being apart of it, ofcourse.

"Grandpa Adeel, are you okay?" she asked, getting him out of his daze, looking concerned. "Oui, I'm fine, habibti, don't worry," caressing her cheek, he said. "I thought of checking up on you so . . . Yeah!" He chuckled at her care and innocence.

Fondly, he stared at her. She was the reason behind this. Behind his love for her and her family and he couldn't be more thankful, but only say, "Alhamdulillah!" Soon he would tell her about the departure, but only once the right time comes.

~End of Flashback~
