CHAPTER 28

END OF FLASH BACK.

He was sure Kamina has already left the house, so he decided to the first thing that came to his mind, he stood up and headed to his daughter's room, he found her sleeping peacfully,

He checked the time to see it was just some minutes pass 9, so he hurriedly parked some of her clothings in a duffle back and gently picked her up, he told the Nanny to go for a break and drove straight to Black's mansion,

Black wasn't yet back and just as he was about to lay Baby lailah in the room on the same corridor Black's main room was, she woke up and told him she was hungry,

He took her to the kitchen and made some noodles for her, fed her and she refused to go back to sleep.

Black came back home to her mansion, and just as she passed a sitting room, she took some steps back and what she saw shocked her,

It was Sultan and a little of not more than three years playing, Sultan was laid on his back on the rug while the little girl was running round him, singing

"Ring a ring a roses
A pocket full of poises
Atshu atshu
We all fall down" and she fell on Sultan, the two laughed out loud,

Baby Lailah's laugh was cut short because her eyes landed on Black Mamba, Sultan noticed and he immediately turn to see Black starring at them,

He could see she wasn't angry, she was just shocked, he stood up and Lailah hid behind her father's leg,

"It's owkey Baby, she is a friend" Sultan said squatting by his daughter

"Hello" Lailah shyly said with a shy smile

"H... Y" Black manged to say and quickly went headed out,

"She doesn't like me" Lailah asked with a sad pout,

"Ofcause she does, who wouldn't like this beautiful princess of mine" he said and fondly pulled her cheek as she smiled,

After some minutes she fell asleep and he tucked her in, and braced himself for whatever Black has dished out for him

He calmly entered the room and he saw her seated on the couch placed by the window, in a baggy shirt and she was smoking, and he could tell she didn't look angry, she looked sad,

"Lailah, am sorry, i should have call, but everything happened so fast, her Mom left for kano, and i couldn't leave her with the nanny and not my parents" he tried explaining

She killed the remaining cigar, stood up and walked closer to him,

"Good night Sultan" she said and patted his cheek, then walked passed him to the bed.

Some minutes later, he joined her and quietly asked "Lailah, are you asleep", but she didnt answer him, he thought she was asleep.

Three hours into midnight, thinking Sultan was asleep, she stood up and left the room in a tiptoe,

Sultan saw her and his heart begun to race, because he thought she was about to do something bad to his daughter,

He hurriedly came off the bed and went out but what he saw left him trans fixed, he saw her leaning against the door and watching Lailah sleep, and there and then he realize Black will never hurt his child, he sighed and quietly went back into the room and this time around to prove to himself how he trusts Black with his child, e slept off.

The next morning, Black woke up hungry and decided on some quick cereal before shower, she came downstairs and saw the little girl in the movie room watching spongebob square pants, Black didn't bother to think on how she switched the TV on,
