(Before you start reading this, I want to point out, that I own this same writing on Archive of our own. So yes, I have the right to put it here as well. This is not a copycat person. Another thing, I use first names when I write, so if you don't know them, I suggest you take a minute to learn them.)
"Hey Deku wanna hang out with Iida and I after class?" Ochaco chirped up to Izuku a couple minutes before the bell rang. Shoto watched them. He expected Izuku to immediately say yes. He always hung around Ochaco and Tenya after class.
"No, sorry. I have something I need to do today. Maybe tomorrow." Well that's odd, Shoto thought, then again, spying is just creepy enough. He turned and focused his attention back to his notes in front of him.
"Get to your seats. Class has started." Shota Aizawa was standing in the doorway of the classroom. His face went annoyed when he realized the students were already in their seats. He sighed. "Today we're going to do a battle bracket. Top 3 have the chance to be elected candidates for the big 3 partnership." Voices raised around the classroom. Many hands went up with questions but Aizawa ignored them. He pressed a button and the side of the room began to open where the hero costumes were stored. "Get ready and meet outside at ground beta in 10 minutes." With that, Aizawa walked out. The classroom chatter rose at a quick level. Many students made their way over and grabbed their costumes and walked out.
"Yo Midoryia, I have an idea! You know how you used to always break your arms during stuff like this?" Izuku nodded at Eijiro and looked down at his scarred arms and hands. "I was thinking we sign your arm for good luck? How does that sound? We never actually got to sign the actual casts you used to come back with all the time." Izuku smiled.
"That's a great idea, Kirishima! But I don't think I have enough room on my arm for everyone to sign it!" Mina hops over.
"I got it! How about one person signs for all of us?! That way you know it's from all of us!" More classmates walked over agreeing with the idea.
"Now who should write the message?" Hanta pulled a sharpie out of his pocket and handed it to Izuku.
"I'm doing it!" Katsuki stomped on over and yanked the sharpie out of Izuku's hands.
"Wait Kacchan! I don't think-" Katsuki grabbed Izuku's arm and wrote something on it and then threw the sharpie at Hanta. He stomped away with his Hero costume case and out the door. Izuku sighed, "nevermind.." The class dissipated and began heading out with their hero costumes.
"I'm really sorry Deku." Ochaco puffs. "What did he write?" Izuku looked down at his arm and then pulled it away.
"Oh nothing. Let's go get ready Uraraka-chan!" She nodded. After a couple seconds it was just Shoto left in the classroom. He grabbed his case and walked out the door.
"Hey." Shoto turned around to find Katsuki leaning against the wall. He looked him in the eye.
"Do you need something Bakugo?" Katsuki scoffed.
"I saw you watching him. I don't get why you're so interested in a nerd like him. You're practically stalking him." The tension between them grew tighter.
"You're not much different yourself Bakugo. Watching me watching him, huh?" Shoto paused and then sighed. "What'd you write on his arm?" If it is bad, Izuku won't tell anyone, so I need to know from the guy who wrote it, Shoto thought.
"I told him, that I was going to beat him. And that he shouldn't even bother trying." Shoto frowned and turned to walk away. He stopped and took a deep breath.
"You may be powerful, but you're a terrible person Katsuki." And with that Shoto walked off, leaving Katsuki, utterly speechless."Alright class. Now that you're all here, I'll explain a little further in depth." A screen projected into the air and began explaining the goal of the fights. "Once you either cuff your opponent or have them step out of bounds, you win. These brackets are made randomly to ensure they would be as fair as possible. I will display the bracket now." Aizawa pressed a button and a bracket showed up, with multiple different match ups. "First up, Mashirao Ojiro, verses Mezo Shoji. The rest of you can head up and watch from the screens." The rest of the class headed up while Mashirao and Mezo stayed down at ground beta.
"Midoryia." Izuku turns around. Ochaco and Tenya stop with him. "Can I talk to you, alone?" Izuku looks back at his friends and they nod.
"Yeah sure Todoroki."
"We'll wait up here for you Deku!" Ochaco and Tenya head up without him, leaving Izuku and Shoto alone in the hallway.
"Let me get straight to the point. What did he write on your arm?" Izuku swallowed hard. He made eye contact with Shoto and then looked away.
"It's nothing Todoroki. Same thing he always says to me." Izuku smiles to himself while looking at the ground. Shoto frowns.
"I know we don't have the time to talk about it forever. So I won't push you." Shoto begins walking up the stairs and stops on the third. "If you ever need a friend to talk to. I'm here for you." He continued up the stairs until he's out of sight. Izuku looked down. Tears formed in his eyes. He brushed them aside.
"Get yourself together Izuku." He said to himself. "You've dealt with the words before, you can do it again." A tear manages to escape. "You always do.." He takes a deep breath and climbs up the stairs to join the rest of his class.
