Shoto bit his lip in pain. He peeled off the burned skin and then froze his arm. The pain still raged through-out his arm and body, but now it couldn't get infected or bleed out. He leaned his head back.
"How did I let this happen? It's my job to protect my friends and I let this one slip right through my fingers tips." He mumbled to himself and clenched his fists. He closed his eyes. Think about good things he thought, and drifted off to sleep.

"He's not here." Kyoka walked out of the final dorm area. Momo stood next to her on the path leading out of Class 1-K's dorms.
"Roger that Jiro. Where are we meeting now? Kirishima, Over." Kyoka pressed the button on her walkie talkie and began speaking into it.
"Kirishima, you're taking this too seriously. All due respect, our friend is out here somewhere, so this is a serious matter, but cut it out with the military army stuff. Let's meet at the 1-A dorms and form a plan." Kyoka rolled her eyes and handed the walkie talkie back to Momo. "Thanks for making these Yaoyorozu. Sorry about waking you up this early in the morning." Momo smiles and tilts her head slightly.
"It's no problem. The main concern right now is Todoroki. I'm surprised Aizawa didn't drag everyone out of bed to look for him." Kyoka let out a small laugh as they made their way over to Class 1-A's dorms.

"How sad for you.. Shoto Todoroki."
Shoto gasped and widened his eyes. What the heck was that, he thought. He looked around.
"I must have fallen asleep.." He began to stand up but sat back down. "My body is sore. That's odd. I must have overused my power." It was pitch black outside and Shoto had a hard time remembering where he even was. He went to light his left hand on fire when he remembered he had covered his arm in ice. "I can't risk melting it and bleeding out." Shoto sat in silence for a few minutes thinking. He didn't have his phone, so no way to ask for help or check the time. "I guess I'm stuck here for the night." Shoto leaned against what he assumed was a tree and closed his eyes again. The night was cold, but he couldn't risk heating himself up. He coughed a few times before he fell back asleep.

"Why is that the plan?" Kyoka glared at Denki who had asked the question.
"I'm going to ignore you." She cleared her throat. "Yaoyorozu, Shoji, Sato, Sero, and I, will be checking the training grounds while Mineta, Kaminari, Koda and Kirishima check the forest. Hagakure and Iida will keep an eye out in case he comes back while we're out. Aizawa is coming with the forest group, and Present Mic is going with my group. If we don't find him after this search, the school is alerted. A missing student is a big deal for UA, so this is very important that we find him. You guys with me?" Many yes's and nods followed her words.
"Let me help." The group turns around to look at who spoke.
"Bakugo.." Much of the class had mixed feeling about him, and they showed, even now.
"I said, let me help. It's my fault he's gone isn't it? I'm responsible." The group looked nervous. Katsuki walked up to them and frowned.
"A-Alright. I guess you can help. I won't say no to extra help." Kyoka looks Katsuki in the eyes. "But this won't redeem you. Half of us still hate you. You can go with the forest group, they're one short anyway." Katsuki nodded and stood by Eijiro who gave him a hug.
"Good to see you awake my dude!" It was easy to see how uncomfortable Katsuki was at being hugged, some of the class had to hold back their laughter.

"This flashlight sucks. Why can't I just use my explosions to make light?" Aizawa glared at Katsuki. His hair rose and his quirk activated.
"What explosions? I don't think you have a quirk right now." Katsuki looked confused and then looked down at his hands.
"Hey give it back!" Aizawa smiled and blinked. His hair flew down.
"Try doing things the old fashioned way." They approached the edge of the forest, to looked to be covered in a blanket of darkness. Aizawa cleared his throat and spoke. "3 groups, Koda and Kirishima, you take right. Mineta and Kaminari, search the middle. And Bakugo and I will search the left. Agreed?" Katsuki scoffed and folded his arms.
"Can I swi-"
"No." The teams split up and began looking in their sections. Each one had a walkie talkie made by Momo. Once the other 4 students disappeared, Aizawa spoke.
"Midoryia is in a coma. Doctor said it'll last from one month, to a year or more. You're lucky he's not dead." Katsuki saw this coming.
"Do we have to talk about it right now?" Aizawa made his way into the forest and Katsuki followed behind him.
"In your apology letter to the Principal, I want you to also include a thank you. Nezu is the reason you aren't packing your bags right now. And yes," Aizawa turned around to face Katsuki, "we're talking about it right now. I have to ask, what are your feelings towards this subject? Do you feel guilty at all?" Katsuki didn't answer right away, but they kept walking.
"Yeah." Aizawa was surprised by this answer. It appeared something had finally gotten through to him. "I feel guilty as hell, and I hate it." In a low voice, Katsuki said one more thing, but Aizawa couldn't hear it.
"Aizawa! It's me Kaminari, we've found him!" The walkie talkie came to life in Aizawa's hands. He held down the button and spoke.
"Alright, we'll come find you. I'll tell Present Mic to call off his search." Aizawa waited to see if he was going to get a response, but he didn't. So he switched channels and spoke again. "Present Mic, Kaminari and Mineta have found Todoroki. You can stop looking." He looked at Katsuki. "Let's go meet them and see what Todoroki's current condition is." Katsuki managed a nod and followed his teacher through the woods until they came across some light.
"Thanks for coming. I don't know if we could have carried him by ourselves." Aizawa looked at Shoto, leaning against a tree. Shoto looked back.
"I'm sorry, I overused my power. My body is sore from it and I'm having a hard time walking." Then Shoto saw Katsuki. "What is he doing here?" Aizawa helped Shoto stand up while still partially leaning against the tree.
"I came to help look for you dumb*ss." Katsuki crossed his arms, "my fault you're here right now anyway." Shoto and Katsuki glared at each other.
"Cut it out guys, let's all get back to the dorms and work out something there." Denki frowned at both of them.
"Kaminari is right." Aizawa looked at Katsuki. "Bakugo, carry Todoroki on your back and shoulders." Katsuki's face shifted to anger.
"I said I'd help find him, not carry him back."
"I don't care what you want. Either carry him or I'll add house arrest to your punishment." Katsuki groaned loudly and moved over to where Shoto was. Shoto climbed onto Katsuki's back and laid his head on Katsuki's shoulder.
"I'm sorry Bakugo." Katsuki scowled.
"I don't want your damn apology." The group moved out of the forest.

"Ah! You're back! And you've found him!" Tenya smiled and rubbed his eyes. Katsuki put Shoto on the couch, who'd fallen asleep on the way back to the dorms.
"Bakugo, you should just bring him to his room. He's already asleep." Katsuki rolled his eyes at Denki.
"What about his arm dumb*sses?" Heads turn and look at Shoto's arm. "We need to melt the ice, and treat it." The second group enters the dorm and stares at them. Kyoka runs over to them and looks at Shoto.
"What are you all standing around for?" She turns to Momo, "Yaoyorozu, can you get burn cream, bandages and a wet cloth?" Momo nods and runs off. Kyoka sighs and looks up at everyone else.
"Where'd Aizawa go?" Eijiro pointed to the wall by the door. Aizawa was asleep leaning against the wall.
"I'll take him back." Present Mic walks over to Aizawa. Kyoka turns back to Shoto.
"Somebody wake him up." Shoto moves slightly and sits up.
"Don't worry. I'm up." The ice melts on Shoto's arm. Few turn away at the sight of Shoto's arm. "I know how it looks." Shoto looks down. Momo comes back with the items.
"Sorry I look so long, I had to make the bandages myself."

Shoto looked at his bandaged arm.
"Thanks guys, this means a lot." He yawned slightly. Few people were still awake besides Shoto, Kyoka, Eijiro, Momo and Katsuki who were the only ones left out in the common room. Katsuki turned around and began heading back to his dorm room.
"Yo Bakubro, wait up!" Eijiro pulled on Katsuki's shoulder.
"What do you want sh*tty hair?" His tone was an angry one, but this time it was different than his normal angry voice. Eijiro gasped and backed off. "Tch." Katsuki kept walking up the stairs and disappeared.

Eijiro helped Shoto to his room and closed the door. He made his way down to the next floor, where his room was. He put his hand on the door knob, and then stopped. He walked past his room and next door to Katsuki's room. The door was open and Eijiro peered inside. Katsuki was on his hands and knees on the floor. He stopped in the doorway.
"I know you're there sh*tty hair." Katsuki's breathing was heavy and his fists were clenched. He pounded them on the floor harshly.
"Bakugo, careful, Iida is underneath you sleeping. You don't want to wake him up." Katsuki sat up on his knees.
"That sounds gay as f*ck, sh*tty hair." Eijiro covered his mouth, realizing what he'd just said had sounded like. Katsuki sighed.
"You're my friend. I can talk to you right?" Katsuki turned and looked at Eijiro.
"Yeah. Of course, what's up?" Eijiro walked up and sat next to Katsuki.
"You think Deku hates me?" Silence followed his words and then Eijiro spoke up.
"No." And that was it. Neither of them spoke the rest of the night. They both sat in silence the remainder of their time together that night.
