I heard my phone ringing and I instantly answered it seeing it was Nikki "Emma can you pick me up from jacks?" She said sounding like she was crying. "Yea of course let me just get my keys and I'll be right there," I said while standing up from sitting next to Calum on the couch. "Thank you," she said quietly and hung up. "Can you stay here with Harding please?" I asked him hopefully. "Yea of course," he said with a tight smile. I got my shoes on grabbed my keys and said "Thank you so much. If he wakes up just" "go-go I know what to do with him." Calum said with a breathy laugh at the end.
"Ok bye. Just tell him I'll be back soon" I said and he nodded to which I walked out the door heading to my car. I got in the elevator and texts Nikki that I was just leaving to which she responded with ok. The elevator dinged and I got out walking toward the car garage entrance. Nick was working at the front desk today "Hey Nick. I haven't seen you in a while." I said while walking over to the counter. "Yea dad has been telling me to take more breaks so I listened and went on a little vacay." He said with a big smile. His dad was the owner of this apartment building and a few others around. My grandparents were friends with Nick's grandparents so we've known each other for a while now. "OWe need to hang out again soon. I have to go pick up Nikki but I'll text you when we should hang ok?" I said while tapping on the counter.
"Sounds good I miss my little Harding." He said and looked at the computer screen probably getting an email or something. "Bye see you in a bit," I said while walking away. "Byee," he said with a small wave. I walked out the door toward the car garage door with a small blush on my cheeks. You see I've had this crush on nick for a few months now. It's nothing big but he's just always made me feel butterflies in my stomach. I got to my car and started it before heading to Jack's apartment that was only 5 minutes away.
I pulled up after humming along to teenage dirtbag by Wheatus. Nikki was sitting in the curb and when she saw my car she stood up and walked over and opened the door with a very sad look on her face. I turned off the radio as she sat in the seat and put her seat belt on. "I won't ask anything right now. I'll wait till we are home." I said while giving her a small smile. I started driving home and she turned up the radio a bit which was nice because the silence was hurting my brain.
We got back to the apartment building and I went and parked in my assigned parking spot in the garage. I got out Nikki following slowly behind me. I walked around the car and brought Nikki in my arms not knowing what was happening, but knowing that if I was In this state I would want a hug. She instantly wrapped her arms around me and started sobbing. "Hey hey it's ok. It's all going to be ok." I said while rubbing her back. "Here let's go up to the apartment" I added to hike pulling away. She rubbed her eyes and nodded her head slowly.
She grabbed onto my arm and I started walking to the door leading into the entrance of the apartment building. "Hey girlies," Nick said with a wide smile. "She's a bit upset right now so I'll text you later. Sorry" I said looking over at him while Nikki tried to pull me toward the elevators. "No need to say you're sorry. I'll text you." He said and winked I looked over at the elevators so he wouldn't see the weird look on my face. We walked over to them and waited before the doors opened. We got in and I pushed the button to our floor. The door dinged and Nikki instantly pulled me out.
We walked toward the apartment and once we got there we walked in and Nikki instantly walked to her bedroom not even realizing that Calum was over. Harding was still asleep which was what I expected so I followed Nikki to her bedroom. I walked in and she was cuddled up in her bed crying. "Hey, do you want to talk about it?" I asked as I sat next to her in the bed. "There's noting your talk about really. Me and jack broke up" she said it even looking at me. I was obviously shocked since they had been together for a few years now and I thought they would be together forever.
"Oh, Nikki what happened?" I asked in the most comforting voice. "He got mad at me because I was talking to a guy named Jackson who I don't have a secret relationship like he thought," she said while shaking her head. "I literally answered his message on Instagram because he was telling me how lucky I am for being able to meet a bunch of celebrities since I am a radio host." (Oh how the tables have turned. Iykyk.) she said while crying. "And I told him that but he didn't believe me so he said he was done." She added "oh Nikki it's going to be ok. I'll be here for you whenever you need me. "I thought he was the one" she sobbed. "I know I thought he was the one for you too, but your forever is out there somewhere," I said trying to cheer her up.
"Oh stop being cheesy," she said with a small smile. "I mean your forever is out there too. Literally." She added laughing at herself. I just looked at her confused and shrugged my shoulders. "I'll give you some time alone ok. If you need anything just text me ok?" I said while standing up from her bed. "Ok. When Harding wakes up I want some cuddles." She said with a serious look on her face. "Ok I'll send him in here after he wakes up," I said with a smile.

Not what I usually write but I told Nikki to pick what she wanted me to write and she told me this so here it is. If it's bad blame her. JUST KIDDING I WILL COME FOR YOU IF YOU HURT HER. Anyways.
