Chapter Seven

Matthew P.O.V

I felt so helpless........

Then all of a sudden,quisha's cries quieted down and she slowly drifted off to sleep. As the old woman rubbed her back.

"How did you do that Miss.....?" I asked looking up towards her.

"Mrs.stauffer" she answered. "This little princess just wanted to get some air out of the car and a back rub" she said smiling down to me."But as you see,she has exhausted herself to sleep from all the crying. Is she your first?" She asked.

"No no,I have two more who I am going to pick from school." I answered.

I still cannot believe I let a stranger hold my child and more so rock her to sleep. She looked at me questioningly.

As if I read her mind,"Their mum left them last year so she is not in the picture. I have to care for them by myself." I told her.

"Oohh am sorry ,Child, but with the look of things you are doing a good job. Am sure your children are proud of you". She said smiling.

"Thank you so much Mrs Stauffer. You were of great help today. I really was stuck and didn't know what to do. Thank you once again." I thanked her.

"No problem my child,am glad I was of help to you today."she answered handing me a now calm sleeping quisha as the cars started moving again.

"Goodbye Mr..... "she said. That's when I realised I hadn't even introduced myself to the kind lady,

"Bentley ... Matthew Bentley".I told her and she went back to her car.

I buckled quisha and drove off to the school to pick the rest after waiting for close to 2 hours. I pulled into the school and spotted my kids running to me. That washed away all my day's frustrations for sometime.

"Hi Daddy",they both said in unison.

"Hey loves, I missed you" I said as I  picked each of my children in either arm,kissed their cheeks which made them giggle and walked back to the car. I buckled each of them up in their car seat and left the school premises.

"Daddy I drew you a picture and I know you will love it." said my beautiful toya.

" Oh really i cant wait to see it princess" I replied smiling at her.

"Daddy am hungwee."said my handsome Leon.

"Who can Guess where daddy is taking his favorites?" I asked.

"Pizza hut ,pizza hut," they screamed waking quisha.

Thankfully she didn't cry,she was happy to see her siblings. They kept talking till we made it to pizza hut, ordered,ate and talked over dinner and we headed home.

By the time we got home,it was already past their bed time and I had to carry each of them out of the car to the house. I changed them into their pajamas and let them sleep.

I was so tired I wasn't ready to run baths,read bed time stories and run about the house asking three little people to go to bed. Since it was Friday and they had no school tomorrow,I made this exemption.

Before I knew it,I was also knocked out on top of my covers still fully clothed.

God i was so tired. Maybe i needed help.......
