HEALED ME

chapter Eleven

Matthew P.O.V

The next day,Sunday, went about quickly. We stayed home watching cartoons with my children. As usual,Quisha was fussy. She cried,didn't want to be held,refused to eat but later tired herself and slept. She woke up feeling much better.

"Daddy can we have pizza for dinner?",asked my pizza lover,Leon.

"Not today bud,you just had pizza on Friday. How about spaghetti and meatballs?",I replied and he immediately nodded his head in agreement.

"Then lets start cooking",I announced in an Italian accent earning giggles from my silly kids.

"Daddy you sound funny",giggled Toya.

"Me?,Funny,No no no,",I replied still in Italian accent,grabbing her and tickling her.

"Hahahahaha,daddy stop,I am going to pee my pants," she squealed.

"Daddy me too",leon said. I picked him too and tickled him, Filling my kitchen with my children's laughter.

I stopped tickling them and we started cooking dinner.

We had our dinner,took baths,watched a movie and then bedtime.

As I tucked Toya in bed she asked,"Daddy will we be able to see that pretty lady at the restaurant again?,I really liked her,she added.

"I don't know baby,but I hope so. I also liked her",I replied.

"Okay,goodnight daddy,I love you",She said.

"I love you more princess",I replied kissing her forehead as she snuggled her covers.

I turned off the lights in Toya's room and proceeded to Leon's room. He was already knocked out so I just kissed his forehead and covered him.Quisha was sleeping with me in my room.

I went downstairs,got a bottle of water proceeded to bed.

I needed the rest because a new week was starting tomorrow and I knew what that meant.

Josie P.O.V

We had a lazy Sunday at home. I couldn't help but think about Matthew ,whether I will ever see him again,how his cute babies we doing.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my door,"come in",I called out.

"Sis,mum says you should get ready we are going out for lunch",jolanda said.

Before I got ready I checked my phone for messages but I had none so I went to my closet and changed to a pair of black jeans,baby pink button up blouse,trainers and headed downstairs and proceeded out for lunch.

"Mum,did you notice how Josie is glowing today",Merijn said causing my mum and sister to nod in agreement.

"Can you tell us the secret",mum and Jolanda asked in unison.

"I am not glowing",I protested playfully smacking Merijn who started the whole thing.

"Do you have a boyfriend now",my mum asked stuffing her mouth with Caesar salad.

"Muuuummmmm",I mumbled.
Everyone burst into laughter and I joined in.

We finished our lunch and went home.Everyone got busy with whatever they had to get done till dinner time.

For dinner we had mexican rice,chicken and steamed veggies. I cleaned up after dinner,took a shower,texted Sherry wishing her luck on her first day of work tomorrow and went to straight to bed having a long day ahead myself.

Mrs.Pyre(Josie's mum) P.O.V

Sunday came by very fast.

I planned to take my children out for lunch for a little family time. We all needed it especially My poor baby girl,Josie. She had grown through alot ,looking for a job and almost getting raped or killed. If its was not for the good samaritan who saved her that night.

As I looked at my children chat away during lunch I couldn't help but feel proud. They had gone through alot after their dad's death but acted tough and strong.

Atleast they all had smiles on their faces now and as a mother I wouldn't ask for nothing more.

I was happy again.......
