Gift boxes accompanied by the ugly head of Envy.IYOMA.
Iyoma was elated to see Angel at the door the following evening, he'd mentioned a job the first time they'd spoken, well she was ready to take him up on that.
She grinned at the white, rectangular box he was carrying and wondered if he'd gotten a gift her. This Angel must really like her, too bad she had the hots for Olabisi....well there was no harm taking advantage of his love for her. Girls did that all the time, didn't they?
'Is Ehi home?' Angel asked bouncing from one foot to the other. He looked a little nervous, and that spiked Iyoma's suspicion.
She narrowed her eyes at Angel but didn't respond to his question, rather she asked hers. 'Whose birthday is it?' Iyoma asked eyeing the red bow sitting on the top of the gift box.
Angel smiled 'It's no one's birthday. I just brought this over for Ehi. Is she home yet?' Angel asked.
Iyoma shot him an irritated look. Not only was he Ehi's chauffeur, was he also her delivery boy now?
'Aren't you her chauffeur? You should know her whereabouts, after all you Uber her around' she asked walking away from the door.
Angel followed her inside although he was a bit confused at Iyoma's hostility. One minute she was friendly and the next minute she was very mean and annoying.
'I'm not her chauffeur Iyoma and she asked me not to pick her up from work today, so I do not know her whereabouts. Anyway what's up with you?' Angel asked setting the gift box on the table in the sitting room.
Iyoma sat down opposite him and crossed her legs. 'What's up with me how?' she asked throwing him a disgusted look.
Angel was taken aback but he didn't drop the discussion. He wanted to know her deal, he didn't want a beef with Ehi's roommate.
'You've been acting off and giving me unfriendly vibes. Is there a problem, why do I sense that this has something to do with me helping Ehi get to and back from work these days?' Angel asked.
Iyoma smiled 'It's none of my business if you want to keep chauffeuring my friend around town. What I don't get is how fast you jump from one woman to the other?' Iyoma asked getting on her feet again.
'Do you mind explaining what you mean by jumping from one woman to the other because I don't understand you' Angel said perplexed.
Iyoma scoffed 'You men are just the worst honestly. First of all you were trying to impress me, throwing me heated looks here and there and now you're driving Ehi around town and bringing her gifts?' Iyoma said pointing to the gift box on her table.
Angel stared at her still perplexed.
'Throwing you heated looks really? Honestly Iyoma what's going on in your head? I wasn't ever trying to impress you honestly neither have I ever looked at you like I want you or something. I like Ehi, and that's the only person I'm after' Angel said.
Iyoma stared at him in disbelief 'So why did you offer to take me to Falomo that day and the cartons of water you got me the other day....what was that about?' Iyoma asked.
'Friendly gestures and nothing more Iyoma. Don't try to make it more than what it is, you think a man wants more from you simply because he is nice to you?' Angel scoffed.
Iyoma nodded feeling ashamed now 'So you like Ehi and not me?' Iyoma asked again starting to sound like a brat.
Angel nodded 'Yes I like your roommate and I don't see a problem with that. Besides why are you hammering on me being into you, isn't there already a man in your life...Bisi?' He asked curiously.
