Hidden truths and Half lies.

Ehi was finishing up her makeup when Iyoma walked into her room still wearing the big t-shirt and shorts that she slept in.

'Why are you not dressed?' Ehi asked rolling her eyes. She'd expected this, she just knew that  Iyoma would make excuses and decide not to go to the mall. The girl was so predictable most times.

Iyoma shrugged 'I just started purging, I'm not sure I can go with you guys anymore. You two should have fun sha and bring me something' Iyoma said as sat on the bed.

Ehi glared at her 'Really, you know I can see through all that bullshit right? You are still playing matchmaker after what we talked about last night'

Iyoma shrugged again 'That one is just okoto na, Angel likes you and you're single, what's wrong with you two getting together?' Iyoma asked.

'I'm not just interested anymore, don't you get it?' Ehi said putting down her lipstick. 'You're only going to get Angel hurt with this your matchmaking, I am not interested' Ehi rolled her eyes.

Iyoma stared at her friend for a while 'I don't understand Ehi, some weeks back you were rushing to the hospital to go look after Angel and now you're no longer interested in him. How do you go from caring to not caring?' Iyoma asked genuinely confused.

Ehi sighed 'It's not even about Angel. He's a great guy and I didn't say I didn't care about him anymore. I just don't see him as anything other than  a friend' Ehi explained. Iyoma scoffed 'But Ehi you led him on, now he's hooked and you just want to leave him Hanging?' How did people switch up emotions like that anyway? Just go on and off whenever they liked, how did they do that?

'Iyoma you're taking this a little too personal, we were not in a relationship. Angel understands this, I just don't want to be in a relationship now. I don't need that now, I thought I did but not anymore' Ehi said.

Iyoma's shoulder's slumped 'You know you sound a lot like Bisi'

Ehi glared at her friend. Hell no, she was nothing like that devil. 'I'm not Bisi please' Ehi said defensively.

Iyoma scoffed 'I didn't say you were Bisi, I said you sound a lot like him. You're doing the same thing Bisi did to me to Angel' Iyoma said.

'How is it the same thing?' Ehi asked looking into the mirror, Iyoma was seriously overreacting, the girl needed to chill. Ehi suppressed an eye roll and waited for her friend to reply.

'You led him on, got him to really like you and now you just want to push him away' Iyoma thought sadly.

'You don't know this but Angel and I were trying to use each other to get over something or someone rather. We wouldn't have worked out anyway' Ehi sighed as she recalled her phone conversation with Elizabeth.

She hadn't understood the bond between Angel and Elizabeth before the phone call but she knew better now. Though Angel had said Elizabeth was his godmother, she'd wondered about their closeness a lot.

'What are you talking about?' Iyoma asked. 'You'll know soon' Ehi said.

'Just promise you won't go back to Bisi' Ehi said meeting Iyoma's eyes. Iyoma stared back at her coldly. 'You know I won't promise you that, don't ask. This isn't about Bisi, this is about you and Angel!'

'Iyoma you just admitted that Bisi led you on, used you and dropped you after you fell in love with him. He was manipulating you, he doesn't deserve you' Ehi groaned.
