"I'm telling you, Y/N. Everything is going to be fine." Rebekah reassures. "You don't know that." "I know my brother, and he isn't the type to tuck tail and run at the sound of the word baby." "Okay," Y/N finally gives in.

Little did they know that Elijah was contemplating Marcel wiping his memory. A lot of pain was hidden behind his red door. And now there is no door holding everything back. Y/N helps with his flashbacks and nightmares, but it's still bring out the worst in him. He could hurt her, and he doesn't want that.

He's going to tell her later on tonight what he is thinking. And hopefully she can understand him wanting to let everything go. The same way that Y/N wanted to tell him that she's pregnant with his baby.

Later on that day, Elijah was waiting for Y/N to come home from shopping with Rebekah. She set the bags down with a sigh and mental said to herself that she was going to take a shower.

She walked passed Elijah on the couch and stops in her tracks. "Hey baby," She says as she sits down next to him. "There's something I have to tell you," Y/N and Elijah say in unison. "Ladies first," Elijah states. "Okay, well.. I'm pregnant with your baby."

Her hands are folded in her lap and she squeezes her hands, waiting for him to say something. "I... need some air." Elijah stands up from the couch and walks towards the door. He gives her one last glance and left.

Y/N's mouth is gaped open in shock. She should have trusted her gut, but instead she trusted Rebekah. "Find somewhere else to sleep tonight." Y/N writes on a note and puts it in the crack of the door. She locked the door and went to take her shower, softly crying to herself as she sat on the shower floor.

Elijah did more than just leave for air, he had Marcel wipe him memory and left Y/N entirely. The first few weeks, she has been looking for him, along with Rebekah and Klaus. They eventually got the message that he left New Orleans for good. Y/N's been having various meltdowns and Klaus has been there for every one of them.

Rebekah decided to go after Elijah and knock some sense into him, but she still keeps in touch with Y/N.

Then one day, when Y/N was brushing her hair and looking at herself in the mirror. And she realized that it was time to move on from Elijah. Klaus knocks on the open door and leans against the door frame.

"Hello luv," "I'm done," She says. "Pardon?" "I'm done thinking and crying over Elijah. Done with wondering why he left when he knew that I was pregnant. I want to be strong for my baby." "And I only want people in my life that I know will always be there. A—"

"I will always be here, Y/N. Haven't I always been there for you? When you had those panic attacks? I was there." "I know but, I don't want to—" "Don't what, Y/N? I invite you in my home. I feed you. I take care of you. I love you. What more do—" Klaus nears Y/N with every word.

"I don't want to depend on you, for you to leave! I can deal with it once, but I.. I can't do that again. Not with you." Y/N snaps. She stands from the bed and he says, "As far as I'm concerned, your baby is as much my child as Hope is." He pulls her in for a hug and they hold each other tight.

They need each other just the same. Y/N keeps Klaus grounded and Klaus keeps Y/N sane.

Meanwhile in Oregon, Hayley finds Elijah and they started to talk to one another romantically. Rebekah finds Elijah soon after and she was disgusted when she saw Hayley manipulating Elijah. She was disgusted with her own brother for leaving his unborn child and girlfriend.

Rebekah barges into their apartment and punches Hayley in the face, breaking her nose. "You know that was for." "Oh you bitch," Hayley says as she clutched her nose. Rebekah punches her again and adds, "And that was for calling me bitch."

"Rebekah, what are you doing here? Why are you doing this?" Rebekah throws Elijah through the wall and says, "You are such an asshole, Elijah." "You are going to pack your things and come with me to the car. And we're going to go back to your pregnant girlfriend that you abandoned."

"Pregnant girlfriend? I have a—" "Yes, you twat. Let's go. We're losing daylight." Elijah started to remember Y/N and the night he left her. The worst decision he ever had to make. He looked to Hayley and said, "You lied me all this time. Making me believe that I loved you and only you. When I had Y/N?"

"Screw Y/N, she took you from me." "Mind what you say about Y/N. My hands are itching to punch your face again." Rebekah defends as she made a quick go bag. "I'll be in the car," Elijah said as he left the apartment.

A few days later Rebekah and Elijah arrive to New Orleans. Klaus and Y/N had just returned from dinner when they see Rebekah and Elijah sitting on the couch of the loft. Y/N holds eye contact for a solid minute before saying, "I have nothing to say to you. You need to go back where you came from."

Y/N went up the stairs and changed into something more comfortable. By now she was started to show, she was four months along now. She cracked open a book of unique baby names. "I'll... try to talk to her." "Good luck getting through to her with her hormones, brother. She tends to throw things when she's upset."

"You seem to know a lot about her." "A lot has changed since you left, brother." Klaus says before pouring himself a drink.
Elijah walks up the stairs and knocks gently on the door before entering. "Elijah, I have nothing to say to you." "Then let me do the talking."

"You're too late for the talking." "Y/N, there was.. an internal battle between the light and dark part of my mind and the dark part was winning. I was going to tell you what I was planning. To wipe my memories, but.. when you told me that you were pregnant. I knew that I wasn't was what best for the child."

"The child wasn't even born yet! How could you have known!" "My love for you told me to let you and the baby go. I would have caused you more pain if I stayed." "Then why are you here! Are you here to reopen this wound! When you see that I'm finally moving on from you, you pull me back."

"Rebekah, she knocked some sense into me. Literally, my head still hurts. And she said to me, that this was my chance to be better than my father. Just as Klaus proved to be a better by raising Hope." "But that doesn't mean I forgive you." "I know it doesn't. I don't even know where to start."

Elijah sits down next to Y/N and they both sigh in unison. "I suppose a massage would be a good start." Y/N says, breaking the silence. Elijah smiles and says, "I'll get the lotion."
