Voices.

That's all she can hear.

But, who's voices?

"Iris, please wake up." A girls voice. A familiar one, at that. Iris's stomach does a flip. "Please, I'm begging you."

"Talking to her isnt gonna do anything." Another voice says.

There's a sound of a loud thump, following by the voice groaning. A second girls voice fills Iris's ears. "Shut up, Theo. Lizzie is trying to help."

A british accent follows the girls statement. "She literally just fought a 200 year old witch spirit. We don't know how long she'll be sleeping." He explains. Who are these people? And why does Iris recognize their voices?

"That's not good enough!" The original girl says. "We don't even know if she won!"

"Lizzie, she'll be fine." Says another girls voice.

The first girls voice begins to ramble. "I-I can't lose her. She's, shes-"

"God, my head hurts." Iris finally blurts out.  She opens her eyes, seeing three girls and two guys in her room. Josie, Theo, Sampson, and Fiona, her best friends.

And Lizzie.

Her soulmate.

Lizzie gasps, looking down at her. The McKnight was pale, bags under her eyes. She looked sick. Lizzie cups the girls cheek, smiling softly. "Hey," She whispers.

The door opens, Alaric and Hope walk in. Everyone stare at Lizzie and Iris, confused. Fiona has a knowing smirk. "How are you feeling?" Hope asks Iris. The girl slowly sits up, thinking over the time she spent in her subconscious.

"I think I just met my dad."

Everyone listens to Iris's story, shocked. Alaric more than anyone. Stefan was Iris's dad. And Hopes family was there. Alaric was surprised by the fact Stefan was there. He than wondered who else must've been there whom Iris didn't recognize.

Lizzie holds Iris's hand. "So," Hope hums, looking at the two.

Iris looks at Lizzie, concerned of what to do. Lizzie sighs, "Guys, Iris and I are-"

"TOGETHER!" Fiona squeals. "Iris and Lizzie touched hands at the game, and BOOM SPARKS FLY. It's that soulmate curse thing, Dr. Saltzman." She rambles. Iris and Lizzie's eyes practically pop out of their heads as they stare at the Japanese-Vietnamese girl. "Sorry," She blushes. Theo smiles down at her, causing her to only get more red.

Alaric clears his throat. He didn't know what to think. His daughter was cursed, just like Iris. They didn't even know what that meant. However, now it made sense as to why Lizzie and Iris had been acting so strange. Also why Lizzie had been extra protective over Iris in the Prison World.

"Okay," Alaric finally says, shoving his hands w
in his pockets. "Well, Iris needs some more rest, everyone head to your rooms."

Everyone slowly drifts out of the room, even Lizzie and Josie. Hope stands to the side, watching Iris. "What?" She asks, sitting up more.

"How were they?" Hope asks softly. She hadn't seen her family. And to think they witnessed Iris fight her evil coven leader was remarkable.

Iris smiles softly. "They were good. Happy that you're happy." Hope smiles softly, sitting on the bed next to Iris. "They're pretty amazing people."

Hope giggles. "They are, aren't they." The two sit in comfortable silence. "You don't think my dad ever saw-"

"Us kiss?" Iris hums. "God, I hope not." She laughs. The kiss, which was right before Penelope and Iris got together, was soft and quick in Iris's memory. It had been the thing that secured their friendship forever. A bond that the two now held in secret.

Hope looks at Iris, now wanting to know more. "When you were there, did you think that- you were-"

"Going to die?" Iris finishes Hopes question again. "Obviously. I was fighting a witches spirit whom I apparently absorbed at 14 years old without knowing it. I mean, I was a spirit keeper for crying out loud and I had to go to war with a 200 year old witch." The girl explains. "But I won. And now all of the Sanguis are finally happy and at Peace."

"What about their magic?"

Iris purses her lips, looking down. "I'm afraid I'm still a black magic tank until I use it all up."She says to Hope. The tribrid nods, patting the girls hand.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Hums Hope. Iris smiles softly, nodding in reply.

Students whispered in the hallways of the Salvatore school. They watched as a girl with blond hair walked down the hall. She wore a tight pink sweater with a Salvatore crest on the left breast, along with a white pleated skirt. Her heels clicked as she walked down the hall, her blond ponytail swaying side to side. Her necklace was now the single lapis lazuli gem. Stefan's. Damon's ring remained in her room, hidden safely in a jewelry box.

She walks into the Gym, her friends eyes landing on her. MG vamp speeds in front of her. He had hardly spoken to her since he nearly ate her, and the guilt still ate at him. He looks at her, worried about her response. Then, the girl smiles wide, hugging the vampire. MG chuckles, hugging her back.

When he pulls away, Rafael stands in front of Iris now. "Glad to have you back." She nods, hugging him too. Landon walks over slowly, and Iris smiles at him.

"Hey," He says, his hands awkwardly shoved in his pocket.

Iris looks at him expectantly. "Are you just gonna stand there or are you going to hug me?" She jokes. Landon smiles, hugging the blond tight. She looks up from Landons grip, squealing at Josie. The two wrap their arms around each other, swaying in a circle.

Lizzie watches her girlfriend hug her friends. And when Iris finally approaches her, Lizzie wastes no time to kiss the McKnight. The kiss is soft and warm. All the feelings the two had hidden for what felt like forever, were now able to be shown off to everyone they met. Iris felt bad for Sebastian. He had sacrificed himself for Lizzie and Iris and Alaric. Iris wanted to find a way to thank him, but she couldn't. She was grateful, though. He saved them, and he let himself be the anchor so Lizzie and Iris could finally reunite. So, as Emma Tig walks into the gym, gesturing at each of the students to take seats, Iris finally felt like, after years of darkness, she was somewhere safe.

It was as if all the dreams of being happy had finally came true, and for that, she couldn't help but smile.
