"Everybody stay calm" The woman flight attendant informed us "we're just going through some turbulence issues".
Children were crying all around the plane. Mum and Josh were both fast asleep. I stood up and made my way to the toilet, thankfully it wasn't occupied.
While I was washing my hands I noticed a small peice of paper that said 'there will be a person you can never trust more'
"Cute" I muttered.
I didn't realise but the water was filling up in my hands and it spilled out of the sink. The water hit the paper and drenched it in water except for two words that remained dry: 'never trust'
I walked out of the toilet and back to my seat. I fell asleep wondering if what had just happened was really a coincidence or some kind of warning.
I woke up quite a while later to Josh violently shaking me.
"We're here!" He hissed with excitement.
I stood up and grabbed my bag as we left the plane. As soon as we stepped outside it felt like breathing in warm air. That's the best part of going on holiday to somewhere warm, the air is even warm when you step outside the plane for the first time.
We made our way through security again and then stepped outside the airport into the warm air again.
My phone immediately started to buzz in my back pocket. I slid it out and realised it was an unknown number, after I'd already answered it.
"Hello?" I said as I brought the phone to my ear.
"Why hello Abbey!" The person said "I'm so glad you made it, we should meet right away, make your way to Forend Street, in Wensale, I'll meet you by the church cafe so we can a meal to discuss things!".
I knew it was this mystery man so I wasn't too worried. I figured it would be best to save his contact but as I tried my phone began to completely mess up. All the colours on my screen moulded into one and then into separate squares but all in the wrong the wrong places, then the whole phone switched off!
"Whatever" I said with a sigh as I jammed it back into my pocket.
"Where did he say to meet him?" Mum asked me.
"Forend Church in Wensale" I replied
Josh already had his phone out on google as he began typing in what I said into the Google searchbar.
"Found it" he said as thrusted his phone at me.
It was about one and a half hours drive from where we were. I handed the phone to mum as she began walking over to a taxi.
The taxi took us to the nearest train station which then took us to a town about 20 minutes away from Wensale. So all we had to do was take a taxi from there. Wrong. For some reason every taxi we asked to take us to Wensale drove right away. Except one who asked us where about in the town and when we said Forend he looked at us like we were mad people trying to jump off a cliff or something and also, drove right away.
After a long painful walk as we couldn't find a taxi that would take us to Wensale, we arrived. I started to wish if have just hung up the phone on the strange man in the first place. Now it was obvious why no taxi wanted to drive here...
