Chapter 10

I looked around. I was confused as to why the strange man had ever wanted to meet us in this place.

"We obviously have the wrong place" Josh said, breaking the silence.

Something was telling me we were in the correct place but for all the wrong reasons.

"We shouldn't be here" I said almost whispering it incase we were being watched.

It felt like this was all a set up and if we tried to leave, something terrible would happen to us. I tried desperately to think of a way to get us out of here. Josh looked at me. I guess he was thinking the same thing.

"We must have gotten the place name wrong" Mum said "search wendale"

"No such place" Josh replied

"Wandale?" Mum asks sounding desperate.

"Nope" Josh replied in a confused tone.

"Wensdale?" Mum whispered. Something was wrong. She was staring out into the town. She looked terrified. She was shaking and I knew we had to leave.

"Wensdale is a place, in London" Josh replied.

"Mum" I hissed.

She didn't even look at me.

"We should go find this church then!" Mum shouted making me jump. There was joy in voice. She didn't sound sarcastic, more excited. She looked at me and she was clearly dreading to have to step foot in this town. She looked at me and hissed something. I couldn't make out what she said. I looked at Josh, he couldn't either.
