Betty added hairspray to her hair and stared at herself in the mirror. Her wedding dress dragged lightly over the ground. Veronica smiled, laughing Betty.
"You look so beautiful. It was hard to get your family down in less than a week though."
"Well, thank you for getting them here." Betty stared down at Veronica's tight dress at a small hard bump.
Veronica coughed grabbing a sweater and throwing it over her and covering her torso.
"Vee...you've gained a bit of weight."
    "Thanks." Veronica laughed.
"No, I mean it, you never gain weight. Are you okay?"
    "Ya, I'm fine."
    "Are you sure?"
"Betty, this is your day. Don't worry about me."
Betty opened her mouth to speak before her phone rang. Her father's number appeared on her phone. She raised her finger and answered it.
"Dad, hi! What's- oh. Okay, thank you. I can call off the wedding."
Cheryl and Veronicas heads shot up and Betty continued her conversation. "Oh, okay. I promise. Love you too."
Betty hung up the phone before dropping to her knees, sobbing.
"Betty, your makeup!" Cheryl yelled and Veronica glanced up at her with mild amusement.
    "Betty, what happened?"
    "My mom just died."
"Oh my God Betty, what happened?"
"She was hit by a car."
"I'll go tell everyone that it's off," Cheryl said
"No, my dad told me to go on with the wedding. He will be here."
Betty reached the end of the aisle and hugged Jughead tight. "What's wrong?" He whispered in her ear.
Betty hid her head in his neck and he kissed the top of her head. After their vows Jughead leads Betty outside of the room and she broke down into tears.
"Betty, what happened? Are you having second thoughts, because we haven't signed the papers yet? You don't have to marry me if you don't want to."
    "My mom died." She sobbed.
"Betty. Oh my...Betty." He said wrapping his arms around her.
"Let's just, let's go see everyone and sign the papers. Then I can finally be Mrs. Jones." Betty said wiping her tears and kissing him.
    "I love you."
    "I love you too."
"Mommy! Daddy! Were my flowers pretty!" Lily yelled, jumping into Jughead's arms.
"You were a very beautiful flower girl. The best one I've ever seen." Jughead said as Betty dried her tears.
"Maybe you can be the flower girl at um...Betty, who do we know that's now married?"
"Mmmm, Fangs. Kevin. Archie. Josie. I think that's it."
"Well, maybe you can be the flower girl at one of their weddings."
"Mommy, I got you a present," Lily said, reaching in her basket and pulling you a long box. She passed it to Betty with a smile.
Betty opened it and saw a chain with a heart-shaped locket at the end. She smiled, kissing Lily on the cheek.
    "Open the locket mommy."
Betty opened it and saw a small picture of the three of them. "Oh, Lily. It's perfect." Betty said, hugging her.
"I got you a present too, daddy."
She passed him another small box and jughead opened it seeing a watch. "Flip it." Lily squealed, squirming in his arms.
Jughead flipped it over and engraved on it was to Jughead. The best father ever. "Oh, thank you, Lily pad."
They walked back into the party and Lily ran up to Jellybean. Cheryl wrapped an arm around Betty's neck, giving her a side hug.
"Thanks for the gifts, Cher." Betty laughed.
    "No problem." She chuckled.
    Jughead smiled.
"You need anything?" Cheryl asked. "As the maid of honour, I am obligated to get you whatever you need. At least what he can't give you." She joked.
Betty smiled. "No, I don't need anything. Despite...everything. This still is one of the best days of my life."
"I'm glad I could spend it with you,"  Cheryl said, kissing her on the cheek.
"I can't wait for you to have you're baby. It will just be so adorable."
"Yeah..." Cheryl said hiding her sadness. "Me neither."
