"What is it?" Jughead asked as Betty walked out of the bathroom.
"Negative." She sighed, throwing her pregnancy test in the garbage. "Again."
"It's okay, we'll get a baby soon." He said kissing her.
    "I know, it's just...hard."
"I know, he said hugging her and kissing the top of her head."
"Mommy, look what I made!" Lily said, running up to Betty.
She passed Betty a piece of paper with four stick figures, each one was shorter than the other.
"Jinx, who's this?" Betty asked, pointing at the smallest one.
"That's my baby sister. The one in your belly mommy."
Betty crouched down to Lily's height and Jughead turned away sadly.
"Lils, there's no baby in my tummy."
"But you and daddy were talking about it yesterday."
"I know, there just isn't a baby in there right now. But I love this picture. It's going on the fridge."
    "Why isn't there?"
"I don't know," Betty said, sticking the picture up with a cherry magnet.
"Will you be at my recital tonight?"
    "Of course baby," Betty said.
Veronica and Cheryl ran unto the house and Cheryl looked Jughead in the eyes.
"I lied to you," Veronica said.
    "About what?" Jughead asked.
    "Cheryl isn't pregnant. I am."
"Ronnie!" Jughead yelled picking her up. "I'm so happy for you!"
    "Really?"
    "Why wouldn't I be?"
    "I don't know. I guess...because. I don't know."
"I love you Ronnie. I can't wait to be this baby's uncle."
"So wait, Cheryl. You aren't pregnant?" Betty asked.
    "Nope."
    "But you seemed so excited."
"Getting pregnant is expensive. I don't have that kind of money." Cheryl shrugged.
"Not if you did it yourself."
    "That...is impossible
"No, just get someone to...you know. Then put in in a syringe and you can probably fill in the rest." Betty explained.
    "But I don't know anybody."
"I'll talk to Archie. Maybe he'll do it."
Betty's smile dropped as the looked out the window. "I have to go take care of something. Jug, can you text Archie and ask him about Cheryl." Betty said, running out the front door.

"Daddy, where's mommy?" Lily asked before her recital.
   "I don't know baby."
"This isn't like her," Veronica stated.
"Did she come home after she ran out?" Cheryl asked.
    "No."
    They all exchanged worried looks.
"She'll be back, " Cheryl said with false positivity.

Cheryl was wrong. Or at least a few years off. But that's for another story.

This is the last chapter. The sequel is called lost love and will be coming out soon.
