"Onii-chan," I sighed and ran a hand over my face.
"Onii-chan?!" Yuki screamed, hiding her face into the crook of my neck.
"Hello! My name is Akiteru Tsukishima, who might you be?" my brother said happily, smiling big. "Hold on! Is this a friend of Kei? I thought Tadashi was his only friend... UNLESS YOU'RE HIS SECRET GIRLFRIEND!?"
She blushed deeply and shyly giggled. "We're just friends..."
Akiteru turned his attention to me and raised an eyebrow. "Just friends? With such a beautiful girl like this? I might just have to ta-"
"Akiteru-kun! DID HE ANSWER?" Yamaguchi screamed as he suddenly appeared on the screen. "Is that Yuki-chan?! I'm so glad to FINALLY meet you!"
She whispered to me, "You talk about me?" She tilted her head to look up at me. Our faces so close, our noses were brushing up against one another.
I quietly said, "Yes."
"What do I say...?" Yuki asked quietly. She's so shy around new people...
"She's so cute, Kei," Akiteru said and laughed.
"Be yourself, it's okay," I said, squeezing her side reassuringly.
She was quiet for a moment and turned to face my phone. "Nice to meet you two... I'm Asahina Yuki..."
"I'm Yamaguchi!" Yamaguchi exclaimed happily.
"YAMAGUCHI?!" She gasped when my best friend introduced himself. "I've heard SO much about you!" She exclaimed happily, grabbing the phone out of my hand. "Oh my gosh, we're going to be such great friends!"
Oh my God... What a complete 180... I thought to myself, burying my face in my hand as the three gossiped about me. Right in front of me. I sighed and accepted it, there's no way I could stop it anyway. I rested my elbow on the arm of the chair and laid my head in my palm, watching her as I slowly rubbed her side. I was zoning out, looking at how beautiful she was as she smiled and talked. The setting sun made it seem like she was glowing and, in a sense, she really is. Since I met her, she's becoming more open. Especially around me. I reached up and gently tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear which made her blush and turn to face me. I pinched her cheek playfully.
Yamaguchi gushed, "Tsukki's a big sofie huhhh?"
"Yes, he is!" she agreed. "But I hope to meet you guys in person someday though."
"Why don't you come over next weekend for dinner?" Akiteru suggested. "And since you and Kei are just friends..." He looked at me, silently challenging me to correct him.
I glared back at him then peered over Yuki. "What?"
"Dinner? I'm sure mother would like to meet Yuki-chan too," Akiteru replied with a knowing smile, seeming to disregard what he previously said.
I was about to protest, but Yuki interrupted. "I would love to! Is that okay with you?" She asked me.
I sighed and said, "okay."
"Okay! See you next weekend Yuki-channnn," Akiteru said. "Oh and Kei, get home soon. You have school tomorrow."
I nodded and hung up before he could make any other comment. She smiled at me. I pulled her closer to me, resting her head on my chest. I wanted to spend more time with her but like Akiteru said, the new semester starts tomorrow.
"Your heart's beating fast," she whispered, pressing her ear against my chest more.
A deep blush crept up my face as I looked down at her. I cleared my throat and said, "It beats fast when I'm around you..."
