"Doesn't it feel tiring though? hiding behind your pain and trying to smoke all your worries out through your actions?" the stranger questioned him.

Jeongguk couldn't help but mentally frown at his words not because he was judging him but just because what he said was the painful truth that Jeongguk couldn't accept.

"People like me who are crushed by the norms of the society shouldn't worry about how messed up our lives are because cowards can't do anything better than running away from reality and that's what I am...a coward." it didn't bug Jeongguk how he was opening up so easily to a stranger because that's all the boy was....a stranger.

"You know being sad is not a lifestyle one should choose...it's better to face the real world with a brave face instead of putting on a mask to hide your troubled thoughts." he said with a string of what Jeongguk could only describe as hope.

Hope....that was the word that he hated the most cause in the end that same hope is the reason why a person falls down from their high, so ever since he faced the outer world all he did was hope for nothing because that way he wouldn't receive anything in return, no hurt, no lies ...no strangled facts.

"And who exactly are you to say that? after all you are just a stranger...i don't even know your name." Jeongguk said bluntly.

"Then would you like me to introduce myself?" the boy questioned with a boxy smile grazing his moonlight illuminated face.

he had the most beautiful smile that Jeongguk had ever seen.

"No, it's better if you just remain a stranger. I don't want to know you." Jeongguk said while picking the skin near his nails.

"And why's that?"

Jeongguk waited a second before collecting his shattered thoughts before muttering "because that way I won't get attached to you....I will think about you just as someone I once met underneath the night sky on a balcony of a house filled with people dancing their worries away in a party I wasn't even invited to at."

The air was filled with a cheerful and deep laugh as it faded away in the loud music playing in the background.

"Well that's not something you should say to the person who is the host of the party." he playfully said and Jeongguk couldn't help but feel embarrassed for a second before shrugging his shoulders.

"I can go if you want me to." He said preparing himself to get up.

"it's fine, I don't really mind cause I don't know half of the people here." he smiled reassuringly.

"But I would like to know you." the boy said after a little pause.
