Five years later
Jeongguk looked up at the sky filled with different colours of orange, pink and yellow as he took a swig of his chilled bear bottle. He heard the traffic moving beneath the building, his legs dangled from the edge as he admired the sunset in front of him.
He heard his phone buzzing and saw his mother's texts asking him to be on time for their family dinner.
A lot of things have changed in the past five years.
for once Jeongguk decided to let the flowers of youth grow back in his mind and he made sure to water them with self care cause he didn't want them to die of self hatred and sadness, for once he looked forward to what the future has in store for him.
instead of living in the past he finally decided to be a part of his present.
after that night on the balcony his life changed. meeting that boy was a blessing that Jeongguk is still grateful for til this day, he teached him the true meaning of life with just a few sentences. no counselling and therapy could ever help Jeongguk in the way the stranger's words did.
and true to Jeongguk's words they never met again. They parted ways but Jeongguk gave him a part of him and in return the boy gavw Jeongguk so many easons to live. He gave him reasons to fill the empty cracks of his mind with beautiful wild flowers.
somewhere in the world, a stranger holds a part of him without knowing who he was, he still has a place in Jeongguk's heart.
Jeongguk believes it was fate that made him stumble upon someone like him. He was a part of his unsaid destiny and He'll forever keep him alive in His thoughts.
that same day Jeongguk witnessed his revivle.
for He was born at midnight, carved with marble and moonlight, He was a little grain of sand that was blessed with being a part of something wonderful. even though He was struck and stabbed on the streets of those stranded towns, in the end he opened his eyes and he was reborn.
He felt his broken pieces finally finding their places and he was off to the races.
the ripped skin mended together with the neddle of serenity and the thread of faith and he felt alive again. He could finally see the shapes of clouds and He could feel the warmness of the sun on his skin. He was lost until the old him decided to come back and now he feels like he knows all the answers to the questions he kept neglecting.
the clock is ticking, his nerves are pounding with pulse of freedom and with every beat of his heart there comes a noise chanting 'I am finally alive'
