Harper's POV:

It was a cloudy morning and I was in the kitchen making pancakes. The smell of baking spread throughout the house and it put me in a very good mood. I turned up the radio that was sitting beside me and I danced while flipping the box made pancakes over until the were golden brown. I stacked them on top of each other into two plates.

"Harper?" I heard Wallis groan through the radio music.

"Hey there sleepyhead." I turned the music down and I doused my pancakes in sticky maple syrup. "Dig in." I handed him a plate and then I sat down at the kitchen table.

After a few minutes of stuffing our faces, I washed our dirty plates and then sat back down. "Me and Libby are going out tonight for dinner so I need you to stay at Max's house for a while." I told Wallis who was sitting across from me.

"Okay, I'm fine with that." He told me and I smiled at him before getting back up and grabbing my car keys.

"I'm heading out to run some errands. Be back in an hour or two." I say. Wallis nods then I was on my way.

Libby's POV:

I sat in my bathroom staring the the time on the wall. One hour till Harper and I go on our 'date' and I was contemplating weather or not if I should cancel. The clock ticked all the way around before I made my decision to go.

I rushed to my closet and found the fanciest dress I owned that didn't have stains on it. It was a yellow polka-dot dress that a button-down front and wavy sleeves.

"Perfect." I whisper to myself before pairing it with some simple black flats. I returned to the mirror in my bathroom and I looked at my hair. "What should I do with you..?" I looked around the room before my eyes landed on a pair of hair clippers. "Aha!"

I grabbed them and plugged them into the wall before making the first strike on my head. Hair fell away from me and some landed onto my shoulders. When I was finished, I touched my now bald head and smiled. It felt really good. Not just physically, but also mentally.

Thirty minutes passed before I had my first breakdown.

What if people don't like it? What if people think I'm weird?

Thoughts raced through my head before I pulled myself together and did my makeup. Nothing too wild. Just some mascara and some blush. I checked the time again and it was already 7:00 pm. Right on time, I heard Harper's car honk for me and I ran outside.

"You need a bike or something cause I'm tired of having to pick your ass up-" Harper cuts herself off and looks at me in awe.

"What?" I say as I start to blush. She smiles but says nothing as we drive. She was wearing a short red dress with black high heels and had her hair up in a ponytail.

The first half of dinner was amazing. We laughed about all the rich bastards in the restaurant while they gave us weird looks. We ordered food that neither of us could pronounce and we laughed some more. Once as our small proportioned food came to our table we ate it up almost in one bite.

"Ugh my feet are killing me." Harper whined out loud and I laughed.

"Maybe if you didn't wear those heels you wouldn't have that problem, Harp." I stated obviously. She rolls her eyes and and looks at me. "What?" I ask.

"I like your hair. Looks good on you, actually." Harper said, still looking at me.

"Thanks..." I stare at the ground before the waiter comes up to us for the check. Harper pays for it and we head back to her place.

We hang out for a while in her kitchen eating snacks and talking shit. The phone on her wall rings and she smiles through the whole conversation with whoever's on the other line. She hangs up and bites her lip. "Who was that? I say in a cheeky tone.

"Billy. He invited us to a lake house party on Friday." She smiled once again.

"Oooo. We're going, right?" I smiled back at her.

"If you want. I know you like parties." Harper suggested

"Aw, come on Harp. I know you wanna go just as bad as I do! Maybe even more."

She rolled her eyes and walked away. "I'm gonna hit the hay. You can share my bed."

"Okay." I kicked off my shoes and followed behind her.
