Awhile ago in the first book I made an AU where Dark and Chosen ruled over a kingdom of sticks. I deleted that chapter but I thought I'd give the AU another shot and redo it because the first version's backstory wasn't that good

Dark Kingdom AU

Instead of destroying websites, Dark and Chosen go around gathering abused sticks from websites and computers. They form a kingdom of sticks (where Dark and Chosen are the king and queen) and go around attacking websites, gathering up more sticks from computers, some of which are children who don't know that much about humans, and basically wage war on humans

The kingdom is a dystopia (obviously). Dark (and Chosen because he's more bitter in this AU) will have anyone who supports humans executed. Chosen (and I guess Dark because she's not stopping him) will put anyone with a superpower in the military, and if they're to young he'll just put them into training. Other then that it's not that bad, but it's definitely not the best place to live, with a scarce of resources basically being a seasonal thing that happens when the kingdom goes to a particularly rough battle

Eventually Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple are token in btw

Eventually Chosen and Dark investigate their animator's new computer to see if he had made a new stick, and he did. They find baby/toddler Second and take him in as the prince

Prince Second grows with Dark (who's let some of the power get to her head), Chosen (who actually condoned Virabot being creation) and Virabot (who is being being raised as a princess/general/soldier)

Second and Vira are actually pretty close, and despite Second being Vira's uncle his relationship with Vira is more like that of siblings/close cousins

Second still becomes  friends with the rainbow crew because I guess the all go to the same school or something. Purple doesn't betraying them btw

One day Second sneaks into his animator's computer, in part out of curiosity, and in part out of a "know your enemy" approach. He watches him and begins to release that humans aren't the monsters that Dark makes them out to be

Eventually, the animator finds Second and tries to attack, which leads to what's basically AvA IV but the ending is a little different. Second explains a little bit about the kingdom (it's just a rumor as far as some people know) and Dark's view on humans, and begs the animator to let him go if he promises to not wreck his computer again. The animator agrees

Second starts sneaking into the animator's computer on a regular basis. At first the animator asked him to go when he found him, but eventually he stopped and just let him stay. They form a bond, and Second starts to help him animate

Second, after releasing that a could have very well been executed for as much as talking the animator out is hurting him, and that he would definitely get executed if Dark and Chosen found out that he was friends with the animator: *chuckles* I'm in danger
