I took a deep breath and looked back to where the others where.

"What's over there?"I asked pointing to the glowing light
"Go have a look"He said as he filled a jug of seeds and fed them to the chickens
I walked over to see a dog with around 12 puppies suckling off of her
"Oh my gosh"I laughed softly kneeling down and looking at them
"Stroke them if you want they don't bite yet."He laughed coming over
"What about the mom?"I asked looking up to

"She wouldn't hurt a soul unless we told her to."He smiled kneeling down next to me,stroking the mum
"What's her name?"I asked also stroking her
"Bella,she has puppies every summer."he explained
"She's adorable and so are her puppies"I smiled,i had never seen or held a puppy because I spent my whole life in captivity basically
"So you didn't tell me,what was it like where you came from?"He asked,handing me a puppy and taking one himself as they finished of feeding
"Well,not like this"I chuckled,watching as the puppy fell asleep in my arms
"Tell me,I wanna know"He smiled
"Well,I grew up with what I thought was my dad but really he was just using me to get revenge.And I was kept in a small room for 16 years before I got kidnapped by my real dad who didn't know it was me and Iv spent the last few months in a metal box."I explained
"Iv never seen a puppy before"I said as a tear rolled down my cheek.
"I'm sorry,I don't know how long you and your friends will be here for but this is our safe place along with all the animals we come here whenever we feel upset we'll come here and play with the puppies or chicks in the coupe or just look out the window up there,your always welcome"He frowned,looking down
"Thank you."I smiled to him
"Did you grow up here?"I asked looking to belle who had fell asleep next to griffins legs
"No,we all worked for Rudy,worked here on the barn and he suggested the job as selling weapons and leading a gang and we all agreed he said we could leave whenever but we don't want to leave this is the most family most of us have got left."He explained before something like a radio started crackling
He sighed and put down the puppy before taking out a black phone
Someone-where are you?do you know where Harper is?
Griffin-yeah were in the coupe I'm showing her the puppies

"We should get back."He sighed taking the puppy from me and placing it back in the box
"Do you just leave them here?"I asked as the mum curled up next to the pups again
"Yeah,we have security cameras to check on them,if theyre born in the winter which they usually don't but if they do we move them to the weapons barn where they're closer to us."He said as we came out of the barn
"So are we going for dinner?"I asked putting the helmet back on
He nodded and we pulled away from the barn and towards the house again
