I woke up and my head rolled to the side where I saw Payton asleep in a metal chair next to my bed I then felt the soft tissue wrapped around my neck
"Payton."I whispered,my throat stung so badly it hurt to speak.
He jumped a little before waking up
"What are you doing?"I asked quietly
"Well I was sleeping a minute ago but making sure your okay"he said before stretching
"I can't believe I let her strangle me"I sighed quietly
"It's okay your dad said he'd take care of her"he smiled,stroking my hand
"Boss is here."Quinton said appearing at the door
I jumped at the sight of him before looking to Payton who sighed and got up
"Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid"Payton said to him before leaving
He nodded and came and sat down next to me
"Morning"He grinned looking at me
"So when did they release you?"I sighed looking to him
"Yesterday"He answered looking down to his fingers
"How long was I under for?"I asked
"5 days,Payton never left your side so I'll give him that."He laughed getting up as Payton came in
"Okay can you get up?"He asked me
"I think"I muttered as I pulled the covers back and tried standing up
I held onto him as I regained my balance
"Perfect"He smiled looking to me
I took a deep breath and stood up on my own
"So you and Quinton besties now?"I smirked looking to him
"Not quite big I told you a good beating will do the job didn't I"He laughed watching as I pulled my jumpsuit up
I chuckled and nodded before looking to him
"Big day tomorrow you know that right?"He asked
"I know."I sighed looking down
"Are you sure you wanna go?"he asked me.
I nodded before hugging him,he froze up before hugging me back
"I just don't want you to get hurt"He whispered to me
"I'll be okay."I said pulling away and smiling at him
"Do you like me now that Iv saved your life a few times?"He grinned looking down to me
I laughed before kissing him
