The moment I opened the door I was astonished to see the person standing in front. "You?" I rubbed my eyes for confirmation. She was on my entrance or was I dreaming? "Shehnaaz..." her name so smoothly slipped out of my tongue, which astonished me.
Shehnaaz gave me a beautiful smile of hers, and my heart forgot to beat. She was looking so beautiful even in her nightdress. That imprinted Micky and mini on her dress. Her hairs tied into a pony. Those innocent eyes staring at me while her pink lip had a smile. She was holding a tray in her hand that had a bowl covered with a plate.
"You didn't have lunch nor came for dinner. So I brought something for you. You should never sleep empty stomach." She said those lines, and I stared at her suspiciously. How did she get to know about that line?
She bites her tongue and turned back, searching for someone. It confirmed my doubt; I glanced in the same direction and found a soul hiding behind the pillar of the hotel. It was his words!
"Raghav I know you're present over there. So come out!" I sounded stern, I was still mad at him for laying blame on her.
He moved from there. He scratching his neck while making his way towards us. That nervous and fear-stricken smile on his face.
"I am sorry about the conversation we had. I know I shouldn't have dragged her in between." He started a handshake where else I pulled him into a hug. The buddy hug, which brought a smile on both our faces. I rubbed his back. That was a habit I processed. My mom used to do the same thing, I had learned it from her. At that moment my eyes landed on Shehnaaz, who was smiling at us.
I broke the hug, "you troubled her with my dinner." I glared at Raghav.
"No!" Raised his hand in surrender, "it is not me to be blamed for. She was getting worried that you had nothing. So I came up with this plan, as you might kick me out of your room but won't do it with her." Eyed at Shehnaaz and hold her through her shoulder. That again infuriated me. My eyes turned hard.
What was wrong with me? I had come here to witness their marriage but could not withstand them holding each other hand. Their mere touch triggered me, I had lost it!
"I will take the tray." I want them to leave, I took the tray from her hand. In that process, my fingers slowly brushed with hers. I jerked my eyes at her, while she too was staring at me. With some confusion, which she had in those dark brown orbs. I backed off my hand, took the tray from her.
"Is this a signal that we should leave?" Raghav raised a brow at me. Sometimes, I thought, why was he so over-smart?
"Should I print it for you?" I spoke sarcastically.
"Sid why are you behaving as if you came for a honeymoon and we are disturbing you." He pushed me aside and entered the room. "We had met after probably one month, and I want to talk so much with you." He jumped on the bed like a kid. "Wow! your bed is so comfortable. I am shifting here, buddy." He said laying down on the bed.
I shook my head, Raghav would never change. I moved aside so Shehnaaz could enter who was standing outside. She moved in, smiling at me. I closed the door behind me, placing the tray on the table nearby and taking my sit on the couch beside it. Shehnaaz had been sitting on the bed.
I removed the plate from the bowl and got overwhelmed by seeing my favorite Biryani in the bowl. I glanced at Raghav, my eyes shining with pleasure.
"I know Sid that I am very handsome but don't stare at me like that." Raghav sat on the bed winking at me.
"Stop self-praising Raghav! You're not that good too." Shehnaaz threw a pillow on him.
"Owch!" He caught the pillow and rubbed his head. "You all are jealous of my handsome face." He cried out which made her giggle and I had a smile seeing her giggling.
