[He knew it, but wanted it to be false. He hoped he was innocent. But fate had other plans for him.]

[The letter he found on his table was his, but it was a mess, except for the three letters he feared. YES, it spelled out, triggering something in his mind.]

[So his first instinct was to walk up to the one in charge of her behaviour other than himself. Once he stood right next to the girl's seat he had no control over his tongue, and let out everything.]

"Lixin."

[He called out to grab her intention, in which he was successful. So he continued,]

"You told Dove didn't you? You told her about the bet? Did you leave out the fact that I called it off? That I did it because she didn't deserve any treatment of that sort? Did you tell her how much I've been missing her? How she made my day better? How without her I have nothing to look forward to? Did you?"

[He took a deep breath, letting out all his frustration and emotions.]

"Listen River, firstly, I don't even know who Dove is. I wouldn't know how to tell her. She might've heard when your pathetic friends were telling me. Secondly, you should've told her yourself if you cared so much. Thirdly, you shouldn't even have made the bet in the first place. So stop bothering me. In the end it's your fault you lost the girl."

[Lixin gave her answer to him, trying her best not to expose her own emotions. That left her unaware of the boy's tears running free as he dashed out the class door.]
