[Lixin watched the boy leave, not missing the pools of tears in his eyes. A gush of guilt hit her, as she realised there was no way he was lying.]

[Unfortunately for her, she realised too late. The lesson had started, but she knew her priorities, and currently River was at the top of her list. She raised her hand and asked for a bathroom pass as she hoped he'd be alright.]

[Taking her chance, Lixin dashed out the room and turned the corner in a hurry, but soon stopped in her tracks. She spotted him, a hand of his gripping the collar of his friend.]

"They're such good friends. Why would they fight?"

[Immediately she knew the reason behind their fight was her. Her heart threatened to jump out of her chest as she watched the two boys quarrel. Her mind however, trailed back to when they fought for each other...]

[The memory played in front of her eyes, as she pulled out her phone to play the actual video. Lixin slid down the wall as the footage of that day replayed on her phone screen. She smiled knowing he had friends he could count on.]

[The sound of the bell ringing snapped her out of her thoughts. And her feelings in the disappointing reality returned. She couldn't bear the possibility of seeing any of them, so she returned to class to collect her things.]

[Once she had all of her belongings Lixin proceeded towards her locker only to see a peice of paper sticking out of it.]

[She read it carefully, but couldn't make up her mind regarding what she would do. But she knew he was genuine. Two words had completely conquered her thoughts.]

"At midnight."
