[He hadn't cried since he was kid, yet for the first time in years, he's shedding tears over a girl he barely met. He felt weak, hence realising that without his permission, she became his weakness.]

[Feeling the need to clear up the situation, River pulled out his phone and dialled the girl's number. Even he was aware that she wouldn't know he called, but a small part of him hoped he'd hear her voice from the other side.]

[Only to worsen his mood, he saw three approaching figures at the end of the hall. Almost immediately he recognised them, his friends.]

[He didn't need to think twice before walking up to them and filling his fists with the cloth of their collars and speaking up,]

"You. You told her didn't you?"

[By this time, a fierce flame had replaced the tears in his eyes, displaying all of his emotions at the moment. All he wanted was answers. Who was responsible for exposing this secret? The sooner he found out, the sooner he'd get to hear her voice and apologise.]

"Look what you did. She isn't talking to me because of you. Do you know how badly you messed up? This is the worst I've ever felt. And it's all because of you."

"Woah. Woah. Woah. Said he didn't have feelings for her. Yet here he is crying over her."

[They laughed over his state, and they called him their friend.]

"You wouldn't even know what she looks like. What if she's fat? What if she's ugly? What if she's a nerd? Or a bully? Oh my god. What if she's a slut? What if she's like Sabrina?"

[They continued to laugh. But what they weren't expecting, was for River to punch the one speaking. Anger now flowing through his veins, faster than ever.]

[The two others watched in awe as the one in center regained himself and shook away the slight pang of pain in his now bruised lip.]

"Don't you ever say a word against her. Sabrina can't compare to her."

"Look,"

[The only one of the three who spoke, Andy, said as he pointed at River,]

"He'd never fight for Sabrina, instead he'd grow weak in front of her. Listen River, this girl is changing you, and you know that she could be a fraud. Right?"

"Because I knew the real her. And I know the real Dove too, that's why I never fought for her. But you on the other hand, don't know her. You don't know any of the two. So you have no right to judge or compare them."

[River poked his finger with every word of his last sentence and walked away, immediately wanting to cool down, knowing the girl he was fighting for wouldn't want be proud seeing him like this.]

[So with his emotions a havoc, he rushed to the most deserted place in school, the basement staircase, the quietness of the place allowing him to think. And his first thought being his opponent's words.]

["He'd never fight for Sabrina, this girl is changing you."]

[He was always dragged around by Sabrina and always felt worthless around her, but Dove's treatment towards him, made him realise that he deserved better.]

[These words proved one thing to him.]

[She was his strength.]
