[Sabrina hadn't said anything since Lixin had broken the news to her brother. But as soon as they embraced something in her somewhere, causing her blurt a few offensive things.]

"Brian, listen to me."

[She tore the two apart to look her boyfriend in the eyes.]

"How can you believe her? She's probably faking it to get attention. I mean River probably realised he was too good for her. Lovesick bitch."

[She spat in Lixin's face, trying to prove a nonexisting point.]

"Sabrina. If you're done, leave me and my sister alone."

"Brian, come with me, leave her. She's just making it up."

"Do you really think i'm that stupid? To actually believe everything you said about my sister? And just abandon her in life's toughest challenge? You must be another level of desperate.  Leave, before i make any rash decisions."

[Brian's demeanor suddenly switching from caring to cold. Still it wasn't enough to scare her off.]

"Now i get why your parents sent you two across the country. They couldn't raise you two right, so they got rid of you. Huh? How incapable were they-"

[The echo of Lixin's palm colliding with Sabrina's cheek was the sound to cut her off mid sentence.]

"Don't you dare say a word against my parents. Questioning their parenting skills makes me wonder about your family background. You are insulting no one but yourself and your own family. And before you say another word from that filthy mouth of yours, leave."

[Lixin dragged the girl to their front door before shutting in her face.]

"Dove, I'm so sorry about her. C'mon hurry up and pack."

"Break up with her Brian."

"I will once we get back, ok? Go and get ready."

[Not even four hours later, they were on a plane to New Jersey, to say farewell to their parents.]
