Chapter 3 - Stay part 2

Y/n's POV
I get a knock on my door and it's Pete. "Hey Pete," I say.

"Hey y/n! So how did last night go?" He asked then he saw my landlord. "What the hell? Why's he eating pancakes in your kitchen?"

"I don't know he spent the night on my couch and woke me up to make pancakes," I harshly whisper.

Pete was about to talk to my landlord but I pull him away and say, "Dude stahp!"

"What? Why?"

"He's my landlord and you and I both know he's so close to evicting me anytime soon. If I don't play nice and do what he wants, I'm not gonna have a home!" I quietly yell.

"Ugh fine but he's trash, you can live with me or maybe Colson-"

"No man I got it!" I say. "So hey Carl" (my landlord is named Carl) "How are your pancakes?"

"Eh pretty good. It could be better though." I wanted to punch his face so bad right now.

"Oh sorry, I'll try better next time," I say through my clenched teeth.

"Well I'm gonna go y/n, maybe I'll come back sometime and eat some better pancakes," he says walking away.

"Mhm yeah, see you later," I struggle to say.

"Dude you can't live like this anymore. It's not good for you," Pete says. I know he's trying to help and he has good points but I'm independent and I can do it on my own.

"Really, Pete, it's okay," I say but it wasn't enough for him.

Pete ran down the aisle and tackled Carl. "Pete, what the fuck?!" I yell. I take Pete off of Carl and apologize, "I am so so sorry Carl!"

"You better control your fucking friends better y/n or else you are definitely getting evicted!" He screams.

"I know and I'm sorry," I say.

"I forgive you, now give me a hug," he orders.

"What?" Pete and I both say.

"Hug me you bitch!" He yells.

That was the last straw and I punch him in the face. I don't know what came over me or how a managed to punch that hard. I look at Pete and he looks at me in a hilarious happy shock.

"That's it! Y/n you are banned from this apartment complex and you are moving out! Get out!"

I expected that. Pete called Colson and Rook to help me move out. It was so satisfying to watch my ex landlord get tackled and then punched. I just can't believe I have to find a new place.

Pete's POV
Y/n is badass! I never expected her to ever do anything like that. Kinda sucks that she has to find a new place now though. I keep offering my place but she always denies it. It doesn't really matter where she ends up, I just hope she doesn't get a shitty landlord like that again. It also makes sense why we shouldn't live together because we get sick of each other easily sometimes. We have a weird sibling bond like that even though we aren't related.

I call Colson and Rook over to help her move. Colson was weirdly excited to do it. I wouldn't be surprised if he liked y/n he doesn't keep it in his pants sometimes.
